Well, looks like the only big win was
Peter Dinklage as
Tyrion Lannister for
Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Still think Michelle Fairley and Sean Bean at least deserved to be nominated. Looking to the future, it will be interesting to see who the show focuses on in Season 2, now that Sean Bean won't be leading the cast. Oh, and in case you missed it, here's Dinklage's acceptance speech from last night.
Michelle Fairley deserved an Emmy Nom for her portrayal of Catelyn Stark.
Sean Bean gave an Emmy worthy performance as Ned Stark.
Game of Thrones is an American medieval fantasy television series created for HBO by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss. The series is based on author George R. R. Martin's best-selling A Song of Ice and Fire series of seven planned fantasy novels, the first of which is called A Game of Thrones. The series debuted in the U.S. on April 17, 2011. Game of Thrones has been extremely well received, and has garnered a loyal fanbase. The series was picked up for a second season on April 19, 2011, two days after its premiere.
