GAME OF THRONES: THE COMPLETE COLLECTION Announced For The First Time Ever On 4K Ultra HD

Game of Thrones is finally getting the full 4K treatment.

After deciding against releasing the full series on 4K Ultra HD last winter, instead opting for a Blu-ray only release that was packed to the brim with special features, HBO Home Entertainment has officially announced plans to release Game of Thrones: The Complete Collection for the first time ever on 4K Ultra HD.

The Complete Collection will be available on November 3, both physically and digitally. It's currently available to pre-order for $209.99 from both Amazon and Best Buy and, for diehard fans, will also be available as a limited edition Best Buy-exclusive Steelbook for $239.99.

Currently, only the first and eighth seasons are available to own in 4K Ultra HD, so this will be the grand debut of seasons two through seven on the premium format, meaning some of the most acclaimed episodes - including "Battle of the Bastards;" "The Rains of Castamere;" "Hardhome;" and more - of the worldwide phenomenon will be viewable in the highest home video quality imaginable.

As for special features, it's expected to contain everything that was included on the Complete Series Blu-ray set that was released last December. Full details can be found below.

Hear me out. Season 8 wasn’t as terrible as people say it was.

It wasn’t perfect, but it wasn’t terrible. Yes, it should have been epic, but...it wasn’t, and life....went on.

Have a great day.

Ya know I never got a chance to watch it when it originally aired and I’ve been recently watching it for the first time on HBO Max, currently I’m on episode 9 season 5 and I’m completely hooked!!!! 🤩👍🙌

Honestly, the last season kind of soiled this entire series.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - Which considering how great the rest of it had been, is probably finale's biggest sin.

As an aspiring screenwriter, my goal is to be in a position one day to work on the inevitable remake once the books finish *knocks desperately on wood*

Love this show, gonna have to consider buying this, I understand peoples dislike for the eighth season (many aspects were disappointing) but I don't really think the thousands of criticism videos and harassment of cast and crew is justified. It's still top quality in terms of television programming, just a shame it wasn't longer and more fleshed out! :)

Those first four seasons are still some of the best television ever, everything after that is still good but doesn't reach the heights of the previous!

I would love to have this set, but I cannot afford the price tag on this one.
Not right now any way.
Maybe if it goes for a holiday sale or something later on.
Need to watch all 8 glorious (yah you heard me,oh internet mob!) seasons in 4k.

A disappointing and rushed final two seasons cannot change the fact that seasons 1-4 were some of the best TV ever produced and even 5 and 6 were damn good. It unfortunately stumbled in the conclusion but is still worth the watch and the first 6 seasons worth the re-watch.

I know it took a HARD nose dive toward the end, but man... when it was good, it was [frick]ing great.

Want to bet it's not over yet?
Give it some time but if there is more money to wring out of this property HBO will find it, especially if their so-called "offshoot" GOT movies go nowhere (-which it looks as though they will not).
HBO has got to go the Downton Abbey route and do a series of movies.
I'll bet there is life in this old girl yet.
