You could be excused for not knowing Bigpoint, publishers of games like Battlestar Galactica Online and Skyrama. Turns out they’re trying to take a bigger step into the limelight by releasing a Game of Thrones-themed MMORPG late this year.
The game, which is scheduled for beta during Q3 this year, will be created in cooperation with development studio Artplant. Bigpoint CEO Heiko Hubertz had the following to say:
We intend to build a game that resonates intimately with its diehard community of followers, while also creating an authentic gaming experience that attracts newcomers to the franchise. The excitement of online games is that, over time, their collective input will help shape the game’s destiny; we’re eager to see how the story unfolds.
