The Marvel Cinematic Universe has started to introducing Greek Gods in Thor: Love and Thunder. Russell Crowe’s Zeus is a crucial character in Thor: Love and Thunder which offers both comic relief for the audience and a significant weapon for Thor to use against Gorr the God Butcher. Marvel has begun sharing some of the deleted scenes as a way to advertise the film’s home video release, Dionysus is also featured and puts the possibility of other Greed Gods joining the MCU into fans' heads.
Greed Gods are prominently used in many Marvel Comics and many gods and characters from Greek mythology are featured. So, it is possible for Disney to include many other Greek Gods in the MCU. Let’s assume that Marvel will use Greek mythology even further and prepare a list of 5 Greek Gods that may be introduced in future MCU films.
5 - Aphrodite
Aphrodite, being the goddess of love and beauty, has a strong potential to be a part of the MCU in the future. The love plot is significant for many MCU movies, especially in Thor: Love and Thunder, the romantic relationship between Thor and Jane is one of the main events of the movie. So, Aphrodite can be great input for the love plot and add a different narrative to the relationship dynamics of Thor and Jane.
4 - Hades
Hades, the god of the underworld, is also potentially one of the best mythological inputs for the MCU. Thor’s journey to the underworld to save someone may be a worth-watching plot; Having Hades as the villain also seems interesting. Knowing that Jane Foster is struggling with cancer, Thor’s journey to save Jane in the underworld is not only possible, but also can be a great way to mix the Greek myths with Norse myths.
3 - Hephaestus
When Thor went to Svartalfheim to meet Eitri the King of the Dwarves and make him smith Thor’s new weapon, the Stormbreaker, an average Greek mythology enthusiast probably imagined a version of Hephaestus smithing a godly weapon. Even though the Greek Gods were not included in the MCU in the days of Avengers: Infinity War, the future is ready for Hephaestus to smith a new weapon.
2 - Hecate
Even though Hecate’s powers and personality do not entirely fit Thor’s plot, she is very suitable for the Scarlet Witch. Marvel has already openly introduced magic in both WandaVision and Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness. So, there is no better place for Hecate, the goddess of magic to join the MCU.
1 - Hercules
Hercules, the son of Zeus, has already surprised some fans by not being introduced in Thor: Love and Thunder. With his similar characteristics to Thor in terms of heroic strength, courage, and ingenuity - they may become close friends and fight back-to-back. While Zeus has already been introduced, Zeus’ half-god son could be the next in line to be featured in the upcoming MCU films.
