AGATHA ALL ALONG Gets Ready To Usher In Spooky Season On Awesome New SFX Magazine Cover

WandaVision revealed that it was "Agatha All Along" and, next month, we're going to pick up with Agatha Harkness in the appropriately titled Agatha All Along.

The Disney+ series will take her and a coven down the Witches' Road as Agatha attempts to regain the powers taken from her by the Scarlet Witch. Given the talent involved, we expect the spin-off to surprise everyone and likely be an important next chapter in the Multiverse Saga.

Today, we have a new SFX Magazine cover featuring Kathryn Hahn's Agatha looking suitably mischievous as Halloween draws near.

Marvel Television has assembled an impressive cast for Agatha All Along, including former Saturday Night Live cast member Sasheer Zamata. Talking to PinkNews, the actor shared her hope that the series will bring a new queer audience to the MCU.

"I do think there’s a lot of queerness in witches, and being a witch, being the 'other,' you’re cast out by nature, and you’re pushed aside for many reasons," Zamata, who plays Jennifer Kale, explains. "There’s something to creating your own community and using the magic within. The reason that you are different is the reason that you’re special."

The comedian adds. "I love that the show shows so many different types of witches and so many different types of people. We have different ages, different races, different types of love being displayed. It’s really special. I think a lot of people will get a lot from it, but also I hope that queer audiences like it."

Check out this new SFX Magazine cover for Agatha All Along below and stay tuned because we'll surely soon get some new stills and interviews from the publication soon.

In Agatha All Along, the infamous Agatha Harkness finds herself down and out of power after a suspicious goth Teen helps break her free from a distorted spell. Her interest is piqued when he begs her to take him on the legendary Witches' Road, a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards a witch with what they’re missing.

Together, Agatha and this mysterious Teen pull together a desperate coven, and set off down, down, down The Road.

The series stars Kathryn Hahn, Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Paul Adelstein, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili, with Debra Jo Rupp, with Patti LuPone, and Aubrey Plaza.

The executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Mary Livanos and Jac Schaeffer, who is also the head writer and directed three episodes. Rachel Goldberg and Gandja Monteiro each direct three episodes of the original live-action series.

Agatha All Along premieres on September 18 at 6pm PT/9pm ET, with the first two episodes, exclusively on Disney+.

Can’t wait to see viewership numbers to see if the strategy of going after new audience pays off this time like it hasn’t in the past.

@TK420 - one part of wandavision my wife really connected to was Agatha and that damn catchy song

I'm sure disney ran their algorithms and market data before greenlighting this
I don't know if it'll be a hit @mountainman but there's definitely a market

Id rather have this than another superhero origin story like underwhelming moon knight

Just my opinion as someone who has seen it all

@Vigor - I hope your wife enjoys it. I’ve been saying from the beginning in this that it seems like they are going after the crowd that enjoys shows/movies about witches. We all know those folks that just love Halloween content. The people that were really excited about Hocus Pocus 2 (not claiming this is your wife just an assumption with the demo they are targeting). Locke’s comments here indicate they also want to go for a larger LGBTQ audience too.

I’ve already said before that over the past few years I’ve come to accept that the days of me watching every MCU project are behind me. I watch what I want and don’t watch what I don’t want to.

And I try my best to not say something sucks if I haven’t seen it. Didn’t give an opinion on The Marvels until I eventually watched it. Actually found it to be ok and more enjoyable (although technically probably a less well made movie due to getting edited to hell in post) than the first Captain Marvel.

I’m just interested to see if the strategy pays off. As long as I get some of the MCU content that I enjoy (and I did enjoy D&W), then I can just not watch the ones that don’t look interesting to me. And put my stupid opinions on this board here and there of course.

@mountainman - I think I'm over having to see every movie from these multiverses and shit. I'm with you. I'll watch the ones I want to watch and ignore the rest of it.Next thing I'm wanting to see is that Netflix Terminator.

@TK420 - Netflix Terminator looks great.

And yeah I’m somewhat getting franchise fatigue. It seems like every single property needs to make this never ending expanding franchise at this point.

@TK420 - you know good and darn well that the Everything Always, Critical Drinker, Cosmonaunt Variety Hour, Captain Midnight, and Screencrush guys will break down every morsel of this 💩 and give us everything we need (and everything we didn't need) in order to be ready for future MCU viewing.

My guess: 3-5 minutes max of needful viewing from the entire series. Doom's mother, Hela, Cyttorak, Ancient One, and Memphisto nod AT BEST....

🙄😐🤔

...Who am I kidding?

There's no way they'd be that precise with MARVEL lore.

This'll likely revolve around a junior high- freshman 🌈 pinned protagonist, who's learning how to survive through misinformed masculinity...

I never really looked at the relation between the queer community and the concept of witches but it does make sense so that’s an interesting layer imo…

Hell , you could explore that with Billy since he himself is gay and entangled in this world with magical abilities of his own which could lend itself to him feeling isolated when we first meet him but eventually he comes into his own and finds “his people” whether it be with the Young Avengers or even Agatha’s coven in this.

Anyway , show looks fun and prime for the Halloween season coming up so looking forward to it!!.
