It's 1946 and peace has dealt Peggy a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy finds herself stuck doing administrative work when she would rather be back out in the field; putting her vast skills into play and taking down the bad guys. But she is also trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life, Steve Rogers – aka Captain America.

When old acquaintance Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper, Marvel's "Captain America: The First Avenger”) finds himself being framed for unleashing his deadliest weapons to anyone willing to pony up the cash, he contacts Peggy - the only person he can trust - to track down those responsible, dispose of the weapons and clear his name. He empowers his butler, Edwin Jarvis (James D'Arcy, “Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World”), to be at her beck and call when needed to help assist her as she investigates and tracks down those responsible for selling these weapons of mass destruction. But Jarvis, who is a creature of habit and sticks to a rigid daily routine, is going to have to make some major life changes if he’s going to be able to keep up with Peggy.

If caught going on these secret missions for Stark, Peggy could be targeted as a traitor and spend the rest of her days in prison – or worse. And as she delves deeper into her investigation, she may find that those she works for are not who they seem, and she might even begin to question whether Stark is as innocent as he claims.

Agent Carter will feature:
Hayley Atwell as Agent Peggy Carter
Dominic Cooper as Howard Stark
James D'Arcy as Edwin Jarvis
Chad Michael Murray as Agent Jack Thompson
Enver Gjokaj as Agent Daniel Sousa
Shea Whigham as Roger Dooley
Lyndsy Fonseca as Angie Martinelli
Kyle Bornheimer as Ray Krzeminski
Costa Ronin as Anton Vanko
Bridget Regan as Dottie
Meagen Fay in an undisclosed role

If this and Daredevil can't change my mind about Marvel television, I think I'll just stick to the movies and hope they don't make me watch their TV to know what the hell is going on.

Marvel and insanely bad Photoshop seem to go hand in hand with all of their posters.

I have ridiculously high hopes for this. Plus it'd be really neat if they manage to tie this series together with Agents of SHIELD...and possibly even Civil War with a Winter Soldier cameo? Though it probably wouldn't make sense to show Bucky take out Stark's dad here, since Dominic Cooper's Howard Stark lives long enough to turn into John Slattery in Iron Man 2.

cool photo, but the font looks pretty cheap for a Marvel show, or any show for the matter

Maybe in AOS, but MCU? and while Chloe Bennet is hot, I think a couple ladies beat her out of top 3 for MCU.

I would say the top three in no order are Gemma Simmons, Agent Carter, and Lady Sif.

@gambgel

I think they chose that font because thats close to the Captain America fonts used in the movies..
So technically the font choice works since Carter comes from the Captain America portion of the MCU.

@slickrickdesgins

Nice choices, except for Portman (never understood what makes her attractive). But they're just opinions. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...Hell, Someone [frick]ed Honey Boo-Boo's mom at least once. Chloe has been the tops for me since the pilot of AoS. And Cobie...she's just the 2nd best looking Canadian female ever, right behind the perfection that is Elisha Cuthbert.

@RajunRemyLebeau

Simmons is an interesting choice... Henstridge really has that nerdy/sexy thing down. And Jaime Alexander is great.

I wouldn't call them close... but the Agent Carter one screams old-school.

The closest similarity being the "R" in Carter and the "R" in America on the First Avenger banner.

Hmmm... Agent Carter WOULD be a sneaky way to ret-con Spidey into the MCU.

Comic-book nerds know where I'm going with this.

For you see,in the comics...

SPOILERS

Richard and Mary Parker-the webhead's parents-WERE SHIELD AGENTS.

Introduce his parents as part of Agent Carter's recruiting for the early formation of SHIELD.

They could be revealed to have been killed by a duplicitous Arnim Zola later on...

I'm gonna run this by Joss Whedon on Twitter....

You're welcome.

OK - this NEEDS to be said - shows like "Agent Carter" and even "Gotham" interesting ideas BUT is there honestly a single comic book fan out there who wouldn't rather see say a "Falcon" tv series or a "Nightwing" tv series - if you're going to make comic book shows how about making them about comic book characters? Seriously - Gotham - good show BUT given the choice between a tv series about Gotham before Batman becomes Batman or say NIGHTWING - again is there a single comic book fan who would choose Gotham? "Agent Carter" - ok, neat idea but again I'd choose a US Agent show (let alone a Falcon show!) WAY over "Agent Carter". Both DC and Marvel have RICH universe's FULL of AMAZING character and money is being spent on this stuff? Why? How about MoonKnight!? How about Huntress! (I know, part of Arrow but you get what I'm TRYING to say.) Krypton is coming!? So what! Seriously - again - so many other choices and we get a show about freaking Krypton before Superman was born? Again - neat idea - BUT wouldn't be even close to my top 50 choices. Anyone with me?
