Here's How CAPTAIN AMERICA Will (Sort Of) Appear In Marvel's AGENT CARTER

Despite the fact that Agent Carter takes place after the apparent death of Steve Rogers in Captain America: The First Avenger, the star spanged superhero has to factor into this series somehow, right? Well, yes, but perhaps not in the way you might expect! Read on for details...

Captain America's presence in Agent Carter seems like an inevitability, even if it isn't physically. After all, you have to imagine that it would be difficult for ABC to get Chris Evans to cameo (contractual oblications, scheduling issues, etc.), and that wouldn't make a whole lot of sense anyway considering the fact Steve Rogers is presumed dead during this time period! So, how will the patriotic superhero factor into the show? According to Entertainment Weekly, it will be through a radio show! "The Captain America Adeventure Hour" will take place within Agent Carter and focuses on Cap's adventures fighting the Nazis and saving his dame, Betty Carver.

"It’s the bane of Peggy’s existence because you have the Peggy character on the show, Betty Carver, and she’s played by this actress who does a soft Marilyn Monroe voice and she’s always in jeopardy," executive producer Michele Fazekas tells the site. "If someone has a radio on, you’ll sometimes hear it, and it’s like, ‘Oh my God, can you please turn that off?’ It’s just fun and a great little window into that time period." The show will feature old fashioned diaglogue like "I’m going to make you see stars and stripes, Hitler!", and real life LA radio host Ralph Garman will narrate.

That's actually pretty clever. People always forget that Cap has been a cultural icon since 1945 so there's got to be a lot of merchandise and media about him. Imagine Cap going to see a modern day blockbuster about his life.

"she’s played by this actress who does a soft Marilyn Monroe voice"

Which means she was the inspiration for Marilyn Monroe considering Marilyn was 15 during the events of Cap 1. Marilyn's first role wasn't until 1947, but what do I know!!!

Just do something with this...PLEASE!!!!! LOL! It would be nice for the original Human Torch Jim Hammond to show up. Though rights may prevent it.

Wow. That's a good idea.

It's little touches like this that will really help sell the time-period.

Well Done Nomis!

I'm actually getting pretty pumped for this show. It may be because I'm going through painful AoS withdrawls...it may be because there's no other watchable CBTV shows (except Flash, but I have weeks and weeks that I need to catch up on)...it may be that Hayley Atwell's boobs are the stuff wet dreams are made of (although it won't make up for the lack of Chloe Bennet in my life)...

But, I'm gonna watch, and hopefully it's on the same level as AoS.

@Gusto

How is Detroit Fans taking to the irony that the reversed call on Dallas is what cost them the game yet they have no problems with the reverse suspension of SUH?????????

If this makes it to a second season I'd like to see them tackle William Burnside, the crazy 1950's cap.
