Earlier this week, Marvel's highly anticipated drama Agent Carter, which features the return of the lovely Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, started shooting. Although the cast & crew is probably still hard at work on the first episode, Marvel managed to show off a finished sequence at NYCC and now we have a detailed description of what was shown, courtesy of ScreenCrush. As it begins, Peggy, Dominic Cooper’s Howard Stark and the living Edwin Jarvis arrive to a harbor at night. Stark boards a speedboat, tasking Peggy with tracking down a deadly formula of his that might fall into the wrong hands, and could level a city block. Leaving them behind, Stark also assigns Jarvis to assist Peggy, despite Peggy having accidentally attacked him in an alley earlier. Jarvis notes that he’d only be available before 9:00 P.M., usually going to bed thereafter.
We also saw bits of an impressive fight sequence between Hayley Atwell, and what we’ll presume is either a Zodiac or Hydra agent, likely in Peggy’s apartment. Suffice to say, Peggy makes good use of the window.
Sounds like a good start for the mini-series! The show, which is expected to premiere in January 2015, will also star Dominic Cooper, James D'Arcy, Chad Michael Murray, Shea Whigham, Enver Gjokaj, and Kyle Bornheimer. Sound off with your thoughts below!
