REPORT: AGENT CARTER Likely Not Being Renewed, Future Of MARVEL'S MOST WANTED In Doubt

If a new feature from The Hollywood Reporter is to be believed, things are not looking so good for Marvel's Agent Carter and the planned Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff, Marvel's Most Wanted.

Amidst talk of a near lock for actress Hayley Atwell's new procedural program Conviction, the trade reports  that "the Hayley Atwell drama is considered likely to go to series as the network looks to move away from its well-known soapy fare. (Atwell reportedly would juggle Conviction with Agent Carter, should the Marvel drama return — though that's considered highly unlikely.)"

Meanwhile, Marvel's Most Wanted was set to star Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood as their agents Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter. The characters recently left Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the backdoor pilot episode "Parting Shot". According to THR, "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff Marvel's Most Wanted has been cooling and some say it's not considered the lock it once was". Of course, this doesn't mean the series won't happen, but it's definitely not a good sign for the show.

Apparently she's going to be in another ABC show called Conviction.

Okay cool will check it out, although to be fair it was fun having an action show where the main lead was female.

I feel as if Marvel regrets AOS and AC. They were really FEELING that POST-AVENGERS high and capitalized on the success of that by jumping on to tv without a second thought.

Now knowing what they know, if they could "TURN BACK TIME" lol, they'd just focus on the Marvel Netflix stuff. AOS would've never happened. Maybe AC would've just been one shots every now and again (Marvel needs to bring those back). AOS has been a real treat, but maybe SHIELD should've only been a big screen presence. Or maybe AOS should've been a Netflix show? Idk. AOS felt like an OBVIOUS ploy to redirect Coulson and make money off a beloved character.

I think they should just give AOS 2 more seasons until it's 5th year, find a good way to end it and focus on Marvel Netflix. MCU Netflix is popular, critically acclaimed and it's growing. Punisher is coming and I'm sure, and hoping, more will spin off of The Defenders.

Moon Knight pleeeeeaaaase!

Most Wanted was apparently getting great industry buzz heading into its possible series order

Bring back the one shots for Agent Carter. Slip them in after some of the Marvel Netflix shows.

Once you finish an episode of DD, or get mid way through a season of JJ, you get the option to watch an AC one-shot.

I had little faith in Most Wanted when I heard it was announced. They just don't have characters that you care about and Marvel won't let them use any "real" heroes or villains.

@WruceBayne - I love Bobbi and Hunter...Hunter especially. I think they made a mistake in making Bobbi a "regular" agent instead of letting her shine as Mockingbird. A more "hero-like" costume might have distinguished her from the pack a little bit and help sell the series a bit more.

Dammit I loved Agent Carter season 1. Yeah season 2 was letdown, but it's not by any means a bad series, this news sucks.

Well that's a lot of incertitude and seems to not confirm anything...
I still hope AC comes back as i really enjoyed the first seasons, i don't give a shit about Most Wanted, Bobby and IDontRemenberHisName were good in AOS but lest alone.... They should focus on AOS, it is going too far too fast and is now a stain in the MCU...
