A Bloodied And Beaten 'Punisher' Has A New Target In Latest DAREDEVIL Set Photos

Jon Bernthal has once again been spotted on the New York set of Daredevil season two, and while he still doesn't have that iconic skull logo on his chest, he is wearing a costume which looks very appropriate for the vigilante! Who's he targeting? Hit the jump to check it out...

The more we see of Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle, the more it seems like we won't be immediately seeing him as The Punisher with that iconic logo on his chest. It could be that season two of Daredevil will slowly tell the story of his transformation into a vigilante...or perhaps Frank is just sensible enough not to walk around wearing it during the day! Either way, the latest set photos which come courtesy of Just Jared reveal a bloodied and battered Frank targeting a couple of gangsters who seem to have stolen a dog. His dog, maybe? It's hard to figure out what's going on here as we're obviously not seeing this scene play out in the context of the series, but there's no denying that The Walking Dead alum looks perfect for the role! What do you think is going on?

I want to see some brutal kills by Frank Castle.
I know it's not an R rated series but they can push the limits with The Punisher.

I really hope they adapt The Slavers story in a Punisher spinoff.

I guess they will transition Frank Castle to his Punisher persona with his traditional uni gradually like they did with DD.

Was kind of hoping for him to have been the Punisher in his late career but it looks like he may just be starting out, hopefully they handle it well, them. Because I'm not sure I buy an early Punisher being able to take on hardened, experienced Daredevil.

Glad that they didn't pick some pretty boy actor for Frank.

Loved Punisher Max...........!!!

@Jollem For me the trailers of Punisher: War Zone looked good but the film was a big let down for me, as I felt it was too cartoony and not very well made.

Ray Stephenson was well cast in the role though.

Punisher Max was hard hitting though and would be happy if the new Show took a cue from it.

Also the Punisher has killed some really evil people rather than taking them to prison and then they escapse and go on a killing spree.

I still think they should've cast Tom Jane to be the Punisher again. He's such a good fit for Frank. Marvel could've had him and almost guaranteed a spinoff series.

But Bernthal looks good in the role, and I'm sure he'll do a damn fine job.

@SimplyAz

WarZone movie was good except for the goofy ass villains.. Everything else was pretty decent. I love the shotgun to the face scene, and the hallway scene. All scenes with Jigsaw and LooneyBinJim were stupid. I would've loved a more serious version of Jigsaw.

Umm okay can't hardly wait to see this but still wish Punisher was debuting in the first season of his own show.

@blackandyellow The Slavers was my favorite story in the MAX line. I'd love to see a version of it in live action, especially the scene where throws that woman out of a skyscraper, and says the line about not hating someone for a long times.

SimplyAz - 8/18/2015, 7:31 AM
@Jollem I liked the R Rated violence in it and thought that it was great but the tone of the Movie wasn't very serious and like I said I found it to be cartoony. If you like it that cool as well. You can never have too much Punisher and I love the new DareDevil.

@slickrickdesigns You might be onto something with the amount of goofiness of the villains and I'm sure that for me there is a good movie in there somewhere.
