DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN May Just Be The Beginning For The Man Without Fear In The MCU

There's a lot of excitement for the spotlight to be put on the Man Without Fear in the MCU, and a new report suggests Daredevil: Born Again is simply just the beginning for Matt Murdock in this world...

Cameras will begin rolling on Daredevil: Born Again next year, and Marvel Studios has slowly started assembling the Disney+ series' supporting cast. Michael Gandolfini and Colin Woodell are among recent casting additions, and the expectation is we'll be getting quite a bit more news on that front in the coming weeks.

Now, Murphy's Multiverse is reporting that some actors, like Woodell, are signing contracts for one-off MCU appearances, likely suggesting he's not playing anyone too important.

Others, however, like Gandolfini, are said to be closing deals that include options for future seasons and other appearances in Marvel Studios projects. That certainly lends some weight to rumours that the actor is being eyed to take on the role of The Kingpin's son, Richard Fisk, in the MCU.

While nothing is confirmed, the site points out that this news seems to suggest Daredevil: Born Again won't be a one-off. Many fans have wondered if Charlie Cox joining the MCU as Matt Murdock is simply a way to placate those eager for a season 4, with the 18-episode series wrapping up the Man Without Fear's feud with the Kingpin of Crime.

However, if Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law proved anything, it's that there's a real appetite for more Daredevil, Wit that in mind, we have to believe Daredevil: Born Again is a whopping 18 episodes due to plans to expand the street-level aspect of this shared world...with Daredevil a pivotal part of doing so.

Throw in rumours that Daredevil and Kingpin will also appear in Spider-Man 4, and it looks like we're finally going to see these superheroes help regular people on the streets of New York rather than only protecting them from world-ending threats!

We'll see what happens down the line but, like you, will be keeping everything crossed that there are plans for additional seasons of Daredevil on Disney+.

@Origame - does anyone else find this article very difficult to read?

@Origame - yeah, occasionally, you just have to go along with the line of thinking. Observe the tumbleweed rolling past. Or all the wheels come off.

@BillyBatson1000 - back in 2019, "it was so surprising when endgame became a success. Everyone was sure that movie was gonna flop"

Makes sense, Zdarskys Daredevil run is the best thing Marvel are doing at the moment I think and has been for some time.

It would be great to have some essential Marvel basics in the MCU... Street level heros, the Fantastic family , mutant anxt , and some classic long awaited villains. It would be a nice facet next to the grand cosmic sagas they've leaned into

@ProfessorWhy - I strongly believe everything you just said, is what's coming. All the pieces are in place for it.
Spiderman finally at his perfect position.
F4 being developed
Mutants being mentioned (kamala, namor)
Growing hype for Doom, and Mephisto. Ultron returning and Kang looming

I can’t help but think they are going to screw this up somehow. A major concern is that of the other superb supporting cast seem to have also been teleported in from the Netflix shows. To see a different Foggy and Karen to name but a few just won’t feel right. I also really wanted to see Poindexter become Bullseye. Whilst 18 episodes is great we should remember they’ll only be 30 minutes long. I do hope I’m wrong but…

Never expected it be a one-off anyway. He probably appears in Echo and (hopefully) in Spider-Man 4 as well.

And ofcourse, Matt is gonna be key in defeating Kang.
