Is Phil Abraham Directing Netflix's DAREDEVIL Pilot?

The acclaimed director known for his work on the likes of Mad Men and The Sopranos is listed on IMDB as the man who'll helm the pilot episode of Marvel's Daredevil tv series. Of course that doesn't mean it's official..

The IMDB page for Marvel's Netflix Daredevil show lists Phil Abraham as director of the pilot episode, as does the page for Abraham himself. Now obviously just because something is listed on the Internet Movie Database, that doesn't make it so..but we've put our sonar senses to work to see if we can confirm it. If Abraham is indeed helming the pilot, it's very good news, as he is a very well regarded and experienced director, who's worked on the likes of Mad Men, Sopranos, The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, The Killing, Ray Donovan and Orange Is The New Black. We'll update if and when more info becomes available. Daredevil is set to air next May, and stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, and Rosario Dawson as "Claire T."

I think we can all assume that this show will definitely be a dark and gritty comic book tv show

I hope they announce some more villains/heroes for this show soon.

Yes obviously whoever is directing it, was directing it! But we haven't had any inkling as to who that might be until now.

Suddenly all of the detractors for dark, gritty shows have abandoned their dislike for it.

I would be Marvel Studios lapdog if they somehow incorporated Stilt-man and Leap-Frog.

Really hope they have Coyote as a villain.
