Loren Weeks Says Netflix’s DAREDEVIL Is "Not The Stuff You See In Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D."

In a recent interview, production manager Loren Weeks reveals that Netflix's Daredevil will relate to the things we see everyday, instead of Inhuman abilities, Asgardian strength, super soldier speed, and all that crazy stuff! Hit the jump to check it out!

In a recent interview, Loren Weeks (the production manager for Daredevil) reveals that they are trying to make the Daredevil series relate to the things we see every day, "Murdock’s physical abilities are superb, but we try to limit them to what a human can do,” Weeks then compares Netflix's Daredevil to Marvel's other television series, “We’re more The Wire than other Marvel movies. It’s not the stuff you see in Agents Of SHIELD, it’s the stuff you see every day. He does flips, but not triple ones.” We already heard that the Luke Cage series was going to be 'dark and grittier', and now the Netflix's Daredevil is set to be more realistic, so Marvel's Netflix series could possibly be the faction of Marvel Studios that shows us "the not so nice" ways.

Later in the interview, showrunner Steven S DeKnight explains why a Daredevil TV series is much better than a Daredevil film. "This is very Marvel, in its size and scope. But because it’s a television show," He then continues, "And because it’s going on for 13 hours, you’ll get to know the characters in a way you’ve never known any of them before.”

As for the actual characters, D’Onofrio says that KingPin has "no end to what makes him who he is" and that "in two sentences, Fisk can move from a child into a monster." Daredevil on the other hand is said to have "something more human about him”, according to Charlie Cox. He then adds, "I think people will relate to that. As the season progresses he becomes more torn between what he thinks is the right thing to do and what isn’t. We see him begin to fall apart at the seams.” To see much more of what the cast and crew had to say about the series, feel free to hit the link below! @Chloefornication
I agree. Every superhero tv show sucks. Teenage girlyness and cheese.

Even though it will be less fantastical I hope Dardevil gets to fight the absorbing man and if that doesnt happen I hope Luke Cage gets a crack at him.

I am so looking forward to this show.

Though, I hope it does amazing and we can see a really nice hard core Punisher series. One full of gore, nudity, drugs, and all that fun stuff.

Hopefully, it's better than AOS. I watch AOS, but I can't get invested in any of the characters 'cept for Ward...and Garrett. RIP

I like how they're grounding this version of Daredevil. It'll make for good contrast with the rest of the MCU.

Daredevil will be the first comic book TV show (other than TWD) that I watch. Have a good feeling for it, I'm just hoping the give some references to Mr. Fear, that is if he doesn't show up.
