WEDNESDAY Actor Hunter Doohan Rumored To Be In Talks To Play Muse In DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN Prior To Reset

Hunter Doohan (Wednesday, Your Honor) is rumored to have been in talks to play the villainous Muse in Daredevil: Born Again before the show underwent a major reset...

Previous rumors have claimed that relatively obscure villain Muse is set to be introduced as the main antagonist of Daredevil: Born Again, and we may now know who is (or was, anyway) in line to play the character.

Though he may no longer be in contention for the role, Daniel Richtman has heard that Hunter Doohan was in talks to play Muse prior to the show's overhaul.

In the comics, Muse is a deranged serial killer with the ability to use his body as a vortex which can pull in every bit of sensory information around him, rendering Daredevil's enhanced senses next to useless.

Doohan will probably be best known for playing Bryan Cranston's son in Showtime's Your Honor, but he's also appeared in the likes of Netflix's Wednesday, Ringing Docks, Coffee House Chronicles, and Soundwave.

Last year, we got word that Marvel Studios had decided to go back to the drawing board on the Disney+ series by scrapping the initial premise. Execs were said to have reviewed some footage from the show while production was paused during the recent Hollywood strikes, and decided that a "significant creative reboot" was in order. Head writers Chris Ord and Matt Corman, along with directors for the remaining episodes, were let go, and Kevin Feige reportedly signed-off on a pretty major course-change.

With this in mind, there's a chance Doohan is no longer being considered, although Muse is still expected to feature.

Initially, Elden Henson and Deborah Ann Woll were not going to be a part of the series, but Jeff Sneider recently reported that they will reprise their respective roles as Foggy Nelson and Karen Page after all.

The show will be (or was going to be, anyway) loosely based on the '80s Marvel Comics series of the same name by Frank Miller and David Mazzuchelli, but is not expected to be an overly faithful adaptation. Despite some significant changes to the story, "Daredevil versus Wilson Fisk, aka the Kingpin, remains the focal point."

We had been led to believe that Born Again was going to be PG-13, but the recent news that the show will be released under the Marvel Spotlight banner has led to renewed speculation that it will be TV-MA.

Born Again doesn't have a release date, but last week, Vincent D'Onofrio (Wilson Fisk) revealed that filming is set to resume "not long from now... in a few weeks, in fact." The actor also mentioned that the show will have a similar tone to the Netflix Daredevil series.

It's scary how much he looks like the late actor Anton Yelchin.

@GhostDog - daredevil needed Inhuman help to solve the Muse problem but in adaptation he can just be another Red John serial killer

@Cleander - Muse may choose Daredevil to be their next piece of art. A living work of art. A block of stone for cruel sculpting. Daredevil is the target of Muse's harassment. Daredevil is the victim of all of Muse's attacks. Physical and emotional attacks.

@Cleander - it can still work without it. Red John is a cool example

Why is asking for a solid & accurate version of Bullseye? Someone at marvel hates the best villains. Not mad at this but it’s getting pretty annoying how they disregard the main lore of villains in the MCU.
