IRON FIST Season 2: All The Biggest Moments And Easter Eggs In The Trailer; Plus, Check Out A New Poster

Earlier today, Marvel and Netflix released the first full-length trailer for Iron Fist season two and we're now breaking down all the biggest moments, surprises, and comic book Easter Eggs. Take a look!

The first season of Iron Fist wasn't terrible but it was a pretty major disappointment and fans found an awful lot to complain about. Thankfully, showrunner Scott Buck has been replaced and Marvel has reduced the show's episode count from thirteen to ten, something which is bound to help improve its momentum and avoid the series making the same mistakes during its final stretch of episodes.

Now, with the first full-length trailer finally here, we're taking a look at all the biggest moments in a bid to try and figure out what's to come when the show returns next month, including what the deal with Davos is and what we should expect from characters like Joy and Ward Meachum, not to mention the Daughters of the Dragon: Colleen Wing and Misty Knight. There's a lot to delve into in this preview!

So, to take a look at our trailer breakdown and poster, simply click on the "View List" button below.

That's Not THE Costume, Right?

We've heard that Danny Rand will finally get a costume in season two of Iron Fist but this can't be it, right? Well, seeing as Luke Cage just wears a t-shirt and Jessica Jones has never suited up as Jewel, chances are a green hoody and yellow bandana tied around his face will probably be what Marvel considers a suitable costume for this grounded take on the fan-favourite comic book superhero.

It's not a bad look but unless something changes over the course of this season, don't be surprised if we ultimately don't see Danny running around the Big Apple in a faithful version of his classic costume.

The New Defender Of Hell's Kitchen

With the world still under the impression that Daredevil is dead, Danny is clearly giving it his all to take the Man Without Fear's place and serve as the new Defender of Hell's Kitchen. Witnessing Matt Murdock's "demise" clearly had a pretty significant impact on the Iron Fist and it looks like he's pretty much fighting day and night to keep the streets under control even if that means sacrificing his relationship with Colleen Wing. The rest of the trailer makes it clear they're not breaking up...yet!

A Change To Danny's Powers

One of the most bafflingly stupid things about the first season of Iron Fist was the fact the hero could only access his powers when he psyched himself up or rested up, something which meant we rarely saw him use it. It felt like a very lazy way to save money on special effects and ensure that Danny wasn't constantly overpowering his foes but things finally seemed to have changed in season two.

Based on what we see on this trailer, Danny - like his comic book counterpart - is able to access his powers whenever he pleases, something which should be the case and is going to make his adventures a lot more satisfying than him being unable to use it because he needs to take a nap or have a snack!

Colleen Wing's Mission

We don't know exactly what she'll be up to in season two but this trailer seemingly confirms that Colleen Wing will be on a mission of her own here; could it be that she's trying to wipe out what remains of The Hand? After all, something will have needed to happen to those loyal to the organisation and they're bound to come gunning for the woman who betrayed the clandestine group.

The Battle To Be Iron Fist

This sequence has been shown a lot in marketing for Iron Fist season two and it's clearly the moment Danny Rand and Davos went to war for the opportunity to fight Shou-Lao the Undying. We know that Danny ultimately wins but is there more to the story than meets the eye? Could it be that he cheated somehow, something which would obviously give Davos the right to want to take his foe's place?

We'll have to wait and see but I think it's fair to say that the vast majority would like to see Iron Fist square off with that dragon here...unfortunately, something tells me it won't end up happening.

A Dead Iron Fist

Something tells me that this corpse is Orson Randall, the man who was Iron Fist before Danny Rand. What role he'll play in the story remains to be seen but he can be seen decked out in a costume very similar to that if his comic book counterpart and it appears as if Davos may have removed the tattoo from his chest in order to use it in some sort of ritual which will also imbue him with superpowers.

The first season only teased the legacy of the Iron Fist so it will be very interesting seeing that explored here, especially if it plays out anything like Matt Fraction's critically acclaimed run with the character.

Typhoid Mary

Unfortunately, this trailer doesn't do much to tell us about what we should expect from Typhoid Mary here but she's clearly formidable, especially as she seemingly takes Danny Rand down with ease during their fight beneath the Big Apple. Alice Eve feels like the perfect casting choice so here's hoping the show does the right thing by having her look a little more like her comic book counterpart at some point because it would be pretty disappointing for her to just look like a regular woman throughout.

A New Iron Fist? (a.k.a. Steel Serpent)

In the comic books, the way Davos gains his powers is pretty convoluted but it appears as if he manages to gain his own Iron Fist by some sort of ritual during season two. The question is, does he steal Danny's powers or create his own? Well, if we're looking to the source material, he'll take Iron Fist's powers from him before it ultimately consumes him and Danny regains what is rightfully his.

There will no doubt be some twists and turns along the way but if Danny ends up being powerless for most of this ten-episode run, it's fair to say that fans will be left feeling frustrated, especially after the first season used it so sporadically. With any luck, the show won't end up letting us down that way.

Daughters Of The Dragon

We got a brief team-up between Misty Knight and Colleen Wing in Luke Cage season two but it appears as if their friendship will continue to develop here as Misty offers to help out in this battle to take down Davos (and possibly what remains of The Hand). We know that Luke won't be making an appearance but here's hoping we get some sort of reference to him becoming Harlem's brand new crime boss!

Meachums In Trouble

Near the start of the trailer, we see Joy Meachum watching over Davos' soldiers being trained and that's no great surprise considering the fact season one ended with the two of them coming to an agreement to kill Danny. Here, it appears as if she and Ward are in some serious trouble but is he in on her plan? Based on how he repaired his relationship with Iron Fist in season one, I'm guessing not.

Plenty Of Badass Action

Something Iron Fist season one did well was the action but it appears as if this follow-up will take things to the next level with plenty of badass fighting scenes between, well, pretty much everyone!

The fights between Danny and Davos definitely appear to be the highlight but Colleen will clearly be involved in her fair share of must-see scenes as well, especially with Misty Knight backing her up.

What did you think of this new trailer for Iron Fist season two? Did you notice anything we missed? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments section down below.

Did @ Josh Willing just say "something that season one did well was the action"?

Ummm, were we watching the same show? The action was almost as bad as the acting. This show was atrocious.

Hopefully season 2 is better, but with soo much comic book related shows/movies coming out now, I'm now having to pick and choose what I watch. And the Netflix shows are starting to end up at the bottom of the list.

Overall looks like more bad writing and dialogue. Danny needs help so he gets the one-armed cop to help him instead of the two surviving superheroes he teamed up with a few months ago.

But I guess there's nowhere to go but up when RT lists Season 1 as one of the 20 worst TV shows of all time.

@blackandyellow - Luke cage is now an active crime boss and Jessica Jones has never been a hero and rarely cared about helping people in a traditional sense.

Daredevil was the only one who would fit the bill here and he's presumed dead by all

@MyCoolYoung - JJ is a broke ass detective and Danny Rand is a billionaire. I think they could've worked out a deal.

@blackandyellow - I can see the criticism now: Luke Cage is supposed to be the hero for hire, but point taken.

Though, in her own seasons she's been prone to turn down Cases based on her preference, but I guess this is a problem comics and cinematic universes have in general.

Like why would Spider Man ever fight the sinister six by himself if daredevil and miscellaneous avengers are down the street from him.

@blackandyellow - Isn't JJ busy not caring about that kinda stuff anymore since she's now becoming part of a new family?

Isn't Luke a mob boss now? Something I'm pretty sure Danny would be disgusted by.

I think the death body is in the cave of Shou-Lao the Undying.

@Unites - that will be the first and last attempt from this series at being deep that I would accept as accidentally comical

Steel Serpent has stolen IF's powers before, even though it didn't last long. IF could only use his charged fist once per day back in the Bronze Age.

Season 2 looks to be shaping to be a great run of episodes. Here's hoping. I didn't think the last season was as bad as a lot of people painted it....but it wasn't really good either. I personally gave it a 4/10. This season looks like they're embracing the comics more with a more accurate depiction of Danny, better choreography, and diving into the mythology.

I'm pretty excited for it and hopefully it can pull an Agents of SHIELD and deliver a second season that's vastly superior to the first.

Hoping this season is as good as it looks to be. Iron Fist has a lot of potential to be great.

Also, season 1’s rep is so bad, some say it’s one of the worst shows of all time, but I overall enjoyed it , despite a whole lot of bad, and if season 2 is as enjoyable to me as the first I’ll be disappointed but satisfied

@Armageddon26 - I love the fact that they actually give this show a second chance. It has indeed a lot of potential to become great. I hope for the best.

Personally, I deed enjoy the first season too by the way, but it was a bad season overall.

@Unites - Me too, I feel Marvel tv was aware of their mistakes with the show before the season even came out because they started damage control quickly.

It seems most are changing their tunes about the Netflix shows and here I am over here still binge watching the shows first weekend enjoying them.

What I am disappointed about is, the fact that typhoid Mary hasn't really been shown much. I was hoping Alice Eve made it to the mcu movie side but was happy she was cast here.

Give her a solid script and maybe she can be the TV version of Mcavoy's split character. I really am looking forward to seeing how she manages to show each personality and will we be able to tell which one she's portraying based upon her facial expressions rather than them explicitly stating it.

@MyCoolYoung - you're definitely right about my tune changing - though theres a few reasons for me that may not be as consistent with everyone else.

1) the run time for a season drop is too much for me nowadays. I still haven't finished LC and can't bring myself to start CnD until I do.

2) The quality has really dipped. JJs2 was a 6 episode story told for 12, and it consistently bored me, and LCs2 took so long to truly kick into its season arc that I was kinda not invested by the time it did.

3) This is a me problem more than anything else, but I wasn't working full time until a few months ago, and I was in college from DDs1 until just after Punisher S1, and now... I just don't have the free time or patience for it anymore, so much so that I've only finished two arrowverse shows from last season (after keeping up for the crossover) and only have intent to follow legends next year for constantine.

@ftf530 - I thought Luke Cage season 2 was pretty good throughout, though I didn't like some of the episodes towards the end.

As much as I loved JJ season 2, I do think they dragged the mom reveal too long but once they did it brought the season together for me.

Well the defenders had 8 episodes and iron fist is rumored to have ten maybe that'll help

@MyCoolYoung - Idk if anyone else has this problem but:

I feel these shows aren't shot in a creative way.

Like remember how much we praised DD s1 for the way it was shot and everything? We hadn't seen anything from the MCU that looked and felt like that. Now that we've had so many Netflix shows, I realize: They don't do anything creative in terms of cinematography.

The Punisher almost bored me by the way it was shot.
