We've already broken down last night's Iron Fist panel so as you'll no doubt already be well aware, a clip was shown featuring Danny Rand squaring off with Davos for the right to face Shou-Lao the Undying and decide the rightful Iron Fist. Apparently, both the hero and villain were decked out in the character's mask from the comics and now a leaked image from the panel shows Davos wearing his! 

As you can see, it seems to have been taken straight out of the comic books and this hopefully means Danny will be making it a permanent part of his wardrobe as he looks to now take Daredevil's place.

We don't really know a huge amount about what else to expect in Iron Fist season two but after that disappointing debut for the series thanks to showrunner Scott Buck, we'll hopefully get to see the character redeemed here as Danny embraces his destiny and becomes the character from the comic books we all know and love. Comic accurate or not, that mask is awful.

They should have gone the Zorro way and kept it simple.

@mastakilla39 - like I said in another comic, there are ways the comic mask could work, but this is definitely not an example of that.

But yes, Iron Fist is far from my favorite character, but I was hoping they’d do better.

I'll give it the benefit of the doubt, since it's secondhand footage. But still, it's progress.

Something like this would look great on Danny, IMO:



But there's no way they'd make it look that cool without it looking cheap.

@L0RDbuckethead - I'm pretty sure that's only going to look worse in HQ. The enforced nose is the worst part, but they messed up the eyes too. I think the black around the eyes could have worked if they did the Batman thing and put makeup underneath (which, potentially, could have made it look worse, too) or if they gave him the white eyes.

Personally, costume-wise, I'd prefer something that looks a bit more practical and less traditional/ceremonial. No armor, though.

LOL it looks funny, but I think it's just the angle. He looks weird cause you don't see the headband. The Iron Fist mask is going to look great on side angle shots, but full frontal shots will undoubtedly take some time getting used to.

Nice to see it but this all looks way too clean. Needs to look more worn and weathered otherwise it comes off like cheap cosplay, at least in this still

Then again, many said the same thing about Dad's proto suit and that was awesome in motion

A little silly, but I'll take it.

This really goes to show how dumb it is that they haven't given us the mask before this. It's [frick]ing yellow bandana and nothing more. If Daredevil can get his suit in his first season then Danny can put a dirty, yellow rag on his head.
