LOKI: 5 Kang The Conqueror Variants You Should Expect To See In Season 2

Loki season 2 is set to arrive on Disney+ this summer, and with Kang expected to be at the heart of those episodes, we're taking a look at 5 Variants we anticipate factoring into the Disney+ series...

Across the course of Phase 4 and the start of Phase 5, we've become acquainted with two Kang Variants: He Who Remains and the Conqueror.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania made it clear there are still plenty of Kangs to come, though, while reliable sources have indicated we'll get to spend time with at least a few of them in Loki season 2. That show is expected to premiere on Disney+ this summer and promises to be an important chapter in the wideer Multiverse Saga.

With all that in mind, we're now singling out some of the Kang Variants we believe could and should be a huge part of the God of Mischief's solo series. From those we've already caught a glimpse of to a few you may be unfamiliar with, Jonathan Majors may be a busy man across the course of this show.

5. The Centurion

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania's mid-credits scene put the spotlight on three specific Kang Variants: Immortus, Rama-Tut, and The Centurion.

We anticipate spending a lot of time with this trio moving forward, though the latter is someone we can imagine being fleshed out in Loki. For whatever reason, Marvel Studios has taken Scarlet Centurion and redesigned him for the MCU. Considering the fact it's a moniker Kang only used for a short while and later gifted to his son, perhaps we shouldn't be surprised!

Regardless, with limited time between now and Avengers: The Kang Dynasty to better explain who these Variants are, Loki should put the spotlight on this technologically advanced Kang. Marvel Studios can then save Rama-Tut for Moon Knight season 2 (or Fantastic Four) and Immortus for the next Avengers movie.

4. Mr. Gryphon

During the aforementioned mid-credits scene, one of the Kang Variants can be seen decked out in a suit and tie. That's almost certainly Mister Gryphon, a version of the villain stranded in the 21st Century who created Qeng Enterprises.

The company's headquarters could be seen in The Void when Loki arrived at the end of time, a hint perhaps that he was among the Variants pruned in a past life. Taking the God of Mischief back to the present day could lead to a lot of fun moments in session 2, especially if we learn Kang has purchased the former Avengers Tower.

Loki and Mobius, working from the shadows, might be tasked with rewriting history by destroying Mr. Gryphon's company, leaving the door open to the Fantastic Four stepping in to buy it a couple of years from now (plus, we're sure Loki would love revisiting the location of his greatest defeat).

3. Victor Timely

In the comic books, after suffering yet another humiliating defeat at the hands of The Avengers, Kang established his Victor Timely identity in 1901.

Using his knowledge of the future to turn the city of Timely, Wisconsin (which he founded) into a technological wonder, Kang unknowingly shaped the Marvel Universe into the world it eventually becomes. Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania made a point of highlighting this Kang, suggesting he'll be key to whatever story Loki season 2 plans on telling.

Time travel and the Multiverse appear to have a very different definition in the MCU than they do on the page, with the former expanding the latter. With that in mind, Timely may not be responsible for creating the Earth-616 we've come to know but could still be laying the groundwork for many of that world's innovations or even a whole new reality...

2. Kamala Kang

If the sight of those Kangs howling like loons in that coliseum is any indication, some of these Variants are downright bonkers. However, that gives Marvel Studios the opportunity to have some fun in Loki, similar to when we met the likes of President Loki and Alligator Loki during the show's first season.

Kamala Kang was created in the Infinity Warps storyline which saw two different characters fused into one to create new heroes and villains. This mashup had all of Ms. Marvel's superpowers combined with Kang's intellect and mastery over time travel.

She wasn't around for long, but this would serve as a fun cameo appearance for Iman Vellani. As of right now, it seems Marvel Studios is sticking with Majors as any and all Kang Variants, but if they're willing to break the mould here, this is an idea with potential. Alternatively, we'd be happy to see Kangaroo Kang!

1. Nathaniel Richards

In the Loki finale, He Who Remains mentioned that he was once a scientist who discovered the existence of the Multiverse in the 31st Century. From there, he'd meet his Variants, most of which weren't quite as nice as he claimed to be.

Whether all Kangs start as Nathaniel Richards has yet to be established, but there has to be at least one of them out there who was the "first" to discover the Multiverse. Earth-616's Kang has yet to be revealed, of course, but even if Loki and Mobius fail to track him down to this pivotal moment, Ravonna Renslayer just might!

Yes, we're willing to bet you forgot all about her. She's looking for answers too and may even be the one who inadvertently lights the spark that leads to another Multiversal War. The comic book Kang is obsessed with her and she might be more important than we ever imagined...

I don't think Kamala Kang is a great Variant to appear, but they could introduce a female Kang.

By the time the new Avengers movies come out, people are going to be burnt out on Kang and his variants.

Don't think we'll ever get to see MCU-616's Kang, because the future of the MCU-616 hasn't happened yet. He can be from a reality with the exact same history, but it would still be a different reality.

I do expect to see Gryphon and Victor Timely though. And maybe the TVA agent variant (Chromomonitor was his name I think).

The only female Kang in the comics was Nebula from the Guardians of the Galaxy.
