Variety is reporting that Marvel Studios' upcoming Disney+ series, Loki, has cast relative newcomer Sophia Di Martino in a mysterious role opposite leading man Tom Hiddleston, who will reprise his role as the fan-favorite antihero.

While any enchanting plot details remain under lock-and-key, the series is rumored to follow the version of Loki that managed to escape his fate, with the Space Stone in tow, in the alternate timeline created in Marvel's Avengers: Endgame earlier this year.

Kate Herron (Sex Education; Daybreak) is helming the six-episode first season with Michael Waldron (Rick & Morty) attached as show creator and executive producer. He also penned the pilot.

Production is expected to commence at the beginning of next year.

The British actress is best known for her starring role on the Channel 4 series Flowers and her more recent credits include Danny Boyle's Yesterday and the FX series Into the Badlands.

Loki is slated to start streaming exclusively on Disney+ in Spring 2021.

From what I’ve seen of her, she seems more cute than Enchantress-style gorgeous, but you never can tell.

Honestly, she looks like she’d make a good female Loki.

@Chewtoy - If they were going to go with female Loki then they might as well just bring back Jaimie Alexander.

OT:
I hate to be THAT guy who plugs his own stuff, but I made video that I think turned out pretty cool, so I would appreciate if you guys gave it a watch if you could/want. No, I don't gain anything from it except the satisfaction of seeing the view count go up 😁
Hope you guys enjoy it.

I still don't particularly care for this show but I'll check it out if the info that comes out gets more interesting to me.

Hopefully they won't "waste" Enchantress in the Loki show. She deserves to be the main villain in Thor 4. She is kinda perfect for it.

I really want Enchantress for Thor 4, but I wouldn’t mind seeing her turn up in Loki either

Enchantress was already played by another actress in Agents of SHIELD season one. Loki sent her to Earth to retrieve something and I think Lady Sif followed
