LOKI: Hot Toys Reveals Its Classic Loki Collectible Figure...And It Comes Bundled With Throg!

Loki was a series that boasted its fair share of surprises, with the biggest coming when we were introduced to some of the God of Mischief's Variants. Among them was "Classic Loki," a version of the trickster who survived his run-in with Thanos and went into hiding before he was pruned by the TVA.

Played by the legendary Richard E. Grant, this Loki stole the show and is now getting his own Hot Toys action figure. It features a newly developed head sculpt with Loki's horned helmet, interchangeable face sculpts highlighting multiple expressions, and an array of highly-detailed accessories including Throg, the battle-damaged helmet after Alioth was unleashed, and even Alligator Loki!

Classic Loki's "Glorious Purpose" scene is among the MCU's best, and while we probably won't be seeing this Variant again, Grant certainly managed to leave a lasting impact on this world.

The inclusion of Throg in that jar is fun, especially as his cameo was easily one of Loki's greatest Easter Eggs. An entire scene with the Frog of Thunder was shot (but not included in the series) featuring Throg delivering a well-deserved beating to his mischievous brother. Unfortunately, Marvel Studios has yet to share the sequence on Disney+, though there's always a chance it could be in season 2.

Take a closer look at Hot Toys' latest Loki action figure below:

That looks amazing! Catches the manic look that Richard E. Grant can convey so well.

@dragon316 - Speak for yourself only, dragon. I and many others (going by comments when the episodes aired and after) absolutely loved Richard E. Grant's look and portrayal of Classic Loki.

@Whaley87 -
Absolutely a highlight of the show. That said they had to walk a tightrope to have him look like the comics iteration without going all green and yellow spandex.

I don’t collect these but it would be cool if they release all the variants for the people that do collect them.

Personally, I think Richard E. Grant as Classic Loki may be the best casting Marvel has ever done. He's as perfect for it as RDJ is for Iron Man.

I don't think it's talked about enough, and I sincerely hope we see him again somehow.

@SheepishOne - Piggybacking off of this, how great would it be to see a Classic Avengers mini-series? Or even like a one-episode special.

If I had a roommate that had it I would sneak into their room every night and move it slightly.

I think he would like great in the modernized costume from the JMS and Coipel run.

That's a great likeness of his face, unfortunately the clothing resembles a little too much 'robot chicken' for me.
