Ever wonder what it's like to sit in a Marvel writer's room and try to figure out the best direction to take a beloved MCU character?
Loki season 2 directors Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson were guests on the Phase Zero podcast, where they provided an inside look at what it's like to develop a season (and potentially series) finale.
In plotting how to crack the season 2 finale, Moorhead stated [via The Direct], "One of the early days' discussions about how we're going to be treating the entire final episode, especially the last half of the final episode, we were actually looking at the Wikipedia for Loki - not the comic book character but the actual god - and he was the God of Stories."
He went on to add that Loki's new title started out as a small post-it note on a whiteboard that the producers brought to the writer's room. But it seems the Wikipedia research and seeing the name on the whiteboard was taken as a sign to zero in on having Tom Hiddleston assume that role.
"And, when we looked up at the Whiteboard that Tom and Kevin [Wright] the producer brought us in to see, it had written God of Stories. It was just a little note somewhere, and we really really latched on to that...And so we feel like somebody who is the God of Mischief, he's the God of Chaos and trickery and all of that, has transformed into - I wouldn't even say the god of time - I would say he's the god of everyone's story, and he's a librarian that protects it and allows it to flourish."

During Ewing's run, Loki gains the ability to traverse the multiverse, where he uses his powers to reshape his fate and change the outcome of some of his most dastardly deeds and defeats.
One has to believe that with the Multiversal Saga seemingly headed to a big showdown with Kang the Conqueror and his many variants, we'll see Tom Hiddleston's Loki at least one more time.
However, the actor is a Marvel veteran at this point and has given separate interviews implying that his time in the role is done and in other conversations, all but confirming that he'll be back and even reunite with Chris Hemsworth's Thor.
