LOKI Season 2 Poster Teases Miss Minutes' Return...And A Lot Of Different Loki Variants!

Marvel Studios has released the first poster for Loki season 2, and on that, we see the God of Mischief’s Variants running in circles atop a Miss Minutes stopwatch.

It doesn't reveal much beyond that, though these all appear to be costumes we've seen Earth-616's Loki Variant don in the series. One of them may even be what we saw the villain turned hero wear in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania's post-credits scene; it's hard to say for sure.

Regardless, the poster begins the 100,000 minute countdown until Loki returns to Disney+.

We've been hearing rumblings that a trailer is going to be released imminently (and possibly as soon as Monday). While not confirmed, new footage may well be right around the corner!

"Loki season 2 picks up in the aftermath of the shocking season finale when Loki finds himself in a battle for the soul of the Time Variance Authority," reads an early synopsis. "Along with Mobius, Hunter B-15 and a team of new and returning characters, Loki navigates an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous multiverse in search of Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes and the truth of what it means to possess free will and glorious purpose."

The series stars Tom Hiddleston, Sofia di Martino, Owen Wilson, Jonathan Majors, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Tara Strong, and Eugene Cordero, while MCU newcomers include Rafael Casal, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, Ke Huy Quan, and Neil Ellice.

Majors' MCU future is uncertain, though we know he'll definitely appear as Victor Timely in the series. We're hoping to also see more of Immortus, Scarlet Centurion, and Rama-Tut, but only time will tell on that front.

Loki season 2 will premiere on Disney+ on October 6.

Loki is definitely High Quality MCU. Season 1 was so enjoyable and so eerie. I loved how it really felt like He Who Remains was basically a glorified audience member of the MCU.

Sweet!!.

S1 is tied with Moon Knight as my favorite of the D+ MCU shows so far so I’m looking forward to this!!.

Just give Mobius his jet ski and I’ll be happy.

Everything that had to do with Loki loving his family is the best parts of his character. Wish they played into that more like in Ragnarok or season 1 of Loki when he watches his mother die or fighting beside his brother.
The Asgard bros are so much better as tortured characters trying to do better than comical farts.

Loki saving the MCU one variant at a time.

@TheRationalNerd - while I don’t think the MCU in particular needs much saving personally…

It was a missed opportunity to use this gif so I can’t resist but to use it.

I used to not be that big of a fan of this show. But now compared to the other Marvel Disney+ offerings, this laps circles around those. Truly a masterpiece compared to everything released after She Hulk

Please MCU, don't ruin Loki the way you've managed to ruin almost everything after Loki S1.

MCU Live Action Series, in my humble opinion:

WANDAVISION - 6,5
LOKI - 8,5
FALCON AND WINTER SOLDIER - 7
HAWKEYE - 6,5
MOON KNIGHT - 7
SHE-HULK - 6,5
MISS MARVEL - 4 (I felt like im not the audience target here)
SECRET INVASION - not finished, so far is 6,5

@cadunovaes01 - Mine would go
Loki
WandaVision
Hawkeye
Moon Knight
Miss Marvel
She-Hulk
Falcon and Winter Soldier
Secret Invasion
What If?

My only big caveat would be that Ms Marvel would rank a lot higher, if it would've only stayed a more openended show about her getting powers and learning to use them. Without any of the what felt forced Big Bad that dominated the last few episodes.

If Ms Marvel had been that, I think it would've bumped up to number 3 at least. Hawkeye as well, I felt suffered from this. The D+ shows seem to have a kind of identity crisis. Do they want to be loose ended TV shows that could actually propel the MCU and provide fun background things to follow. or do they want to be semi self contained movie structured vehicles?

I guess I phrased in a biased sense, because it seems clear to me that the first option is what they should be striving for. So much good about all these shows that feels squashed by having to conclude so cleanly.

@cadunovaes01 -

Ms Marvel's first episode is unironically top-tier CB TV, and to a lesser extent parts of its last one as well. Everything inbetween just pales in comparison.

Loki season one is one of the best things the MCU has done, and far and away the best D+ series, so I'm all on board with season 2.

I've seen rumors that the villain of Deadpool 3 is actually a previously introduced MCU reality character.
Someone else suggested Miss Minutes, and I have to say that I can kind of see that happening. It makes sense.

@BenBunnyUh - I wonder if Loki will run into Deadpool and Wolverine toward the end of the show or in a post credit scene. It would be shocking and funny I think.
BenBunnyUh
BenBunnyUh - 7/29/2023, 12:23 AM
@Timerider - That would be pretty provocative. The kind of tag a D+ show would really wear to be felt more relevant these days.
I can see it. haha.
