Not terribly surprised. I use my wife as a gauge of public interest in marvel. She started out watching every marvel TV show on day 1 alongside me on our big screen tv

Now it's like pulling teeth to get her to sit down and watch or finish a show

@Vigor - It's not just your wife. It's people in general. There are way too many streaming services and lots and I mean lots of content. With inflation rampaging across the globe, People are working more than ever. To find the time to dedicate to one show is a privilege at this point. People have been cutting the streaming services due to rising costs and people just don't have time like they used to. Weekends off have become scarce.

@bobevanz - The growing apathy towards the MCU and its Multiverse Saga extends to the small screen after ‘Loki’ viewership plummets by an alarming 40%.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has found itself caught in such a funk that not even its acclaimed projects have been able to shake off the ever-growing sense of apathy, with Loki season 2’s debut on the Nielsen streaming ratings coming with a very noticeable caveat.

On another topic, first episode of Invincible Season 2 was solid. I liked the fallout from the season 1 finale, and Mark’s internal struggles to grapple with everything.

Not a huge fan of bringing in the multiverse, but that new villain reminds me of The Leader in a way. Looking forward to the rest!

I thought this episode was really good but I love Omni-Man.

@marvel72 - Such interesting characters in this universe. Omni Man is a compelling villain, but better than the other evil superman character Homelander.

I’ve never read the graphic novel but I’ve been spoiled on a few of the future arcs. I am excited to see more of the Viltrumites.

Loki season 02 has been amazing. It has been the most Doctor Whoish season so far, sprinkled in with that retro futuristic aesthetic as well. Love it.

How long will it take for people to realize that these shows aren't really underperforming, they just stopped overperforming. Newsflash: the pandemic is over! People aren't stuck at home anymore. Viewer behavior has obviously changed. We can't keep comparing Loki season 2 to Loki season 1. Ahsoka to Mandalorian season 2. Remember that Disney+ didn't exist pre-pandemic, so we have no comparison to what should be expected. This is now the first time Disney+ deals with normal viewer behavior.

I'm glad Neilsen counts streaming, for the past few years we never really knew the numbers on every show. They'd pick and choose, now everything gets reported lol

No surprise here. There have been enough crappy D+ shows, that a lot of people don't bother with them anymore.

But I thought the first season of Loki was goofy with Loki's character being completely misused. I think season 2 is far better.

I really wonder what the last episode will bring. I hope it's a huge surprise that no one has thought of.
