Despite the recent news that Marvel Studios will not be holding a panel in Hall H this year, the first trailer for Loki season 2 is still expected to debut during San Diego Comic-Con next month, and Disney+ has now released an official synopsis to give fans a better idea of what to expect from the God of Mischief's return.

Nothing particularly surprising here, but the logline does confirm that Loki will be heading back into the multiverse in an attempt to track down Sylvie and the AWOL Judge Renslayer.

"Loki Season 2 picks up in the aftermath of the shocking season finale when Loki finds himself in a battle for the soul of the Time Variance Authority. Along with Mobius, Hunter B-15 and a team of new and returning characters, Loki navigates an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous multiverse in search of Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes and the truth of what it means to possess free will and glorious purpose."

As expected, there's no mention of Jonathan Majors' Kang, or "He Who Remains," but the actor is named in the cast list.

Joining Majors, Tom Hiddleston, Sofia di Martino, Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Tara Strong and Eugene Cordero will be Rafael Casal, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, Ke Huy Quan and Neil Ellice.

The season 1 finale concluded with Sylvie following through on her plan to kill He Who Remains, splintering the Sacred Timeline and causing the rebirth of The Multiverse in the process. We then saw the God of Mischief arrive at what he believed to be the familiar surroundings of The TVA, only to discover that he'd actually entered a reality ruled over by another Kang Variant.

Loki season 2 is set to premiere on Disney+ on October 6.

We still have around 4 months before October but I am looking forward to the new episodes and how the Kang saga is going to evolve and set the stage for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty in 2026.

Thats pretty cool I just wish Captain America, Ironman, TheHulk, Thor, Fantastic Four, Spiderman, and Xmen all got 16 hour long tv series also.. 😔

Did this ever make it to this site? The Insider basically outlined all of Jonathon Major’s defense, including reviewing video and such themselves, and it seems to be a pretty compelling case:

It includes a timeline that helped me understand things better, albeit from Major’s side of things:
They had an altercation in the cab
They split up and went separate ways: Majors to a hotel, the woman to a club.
They have video of the woman partying, apparently without any of the injuries she was later said to have.
Majors sent her a text to break up.
She got the text and returned to his penthouse (not where he was staying.)
She sent him a lot of texts and calls, eventually suggesting she might kill herself.
He read the texts in the morning and quickly returned to his penthouse.
He needed to call the resident handyman to get him into a locked bedroom.
They found the woman passed out on the floor of the closet with pills and booze in the room.
Majors called 911.
As the woman was revived, police questioned her in her confused state.
She wondered what had happened to her finger (now broken)
Major’s lawyer claims they led her into accusing Majors of doing this to her in the altercation more than 12 hours earlier.

Again, all from Majors’ side, but with a bunch of details that should be verifiable and should they hold up it does sound like it would be extremely hard to successfully prosecute him for assaulting her the way they claim it happened.

I was ALL over this this morning and, you know what I’ve concluded (for whatever THAT is actually worth) the haters are gonna hate no matter how hard you lead them to the water and/or slap them with the hand of truth

Regardless…..Majors’ case got a helluva lot more interesting over the past 48 hours or so

1) Jabbari charged an $800 bottle of champagne to Majors’ card (the one in HIS name) during the interim party hours and was whooping it up for several of them with full use (and apparently no discomfort) of the supposedly broken finger/hand

2) immediately after Majors jumped out of the fight a group of eyewitnesses ran over and took selfies with him after watching the entire fight (would suggest that the bully beatdown narrative is either seriously exaggerated or outright horsesh&t falsehood)

3) the cop who supposedly was Lanceloting Jabbari’s injuries with the ‘you wouldn’t see me with a broken finger’ remarks at Majors when pushed to do his actual job and get BOTH sides of the story ALSO supposedly was attempting to bait/needle Majors into an outburst w tinged (and we all know what kind if tinge) derisive comments questioning if Majors really owned that penthouse. ALL caught on bodycam and entered i to evidentiary record

4) Jabbari was supposedly SO whacked out at the time of First Response arrival that they had to administer the famed and famous 5150 on-site psych exam not once BUT TWICE because Jabbari was so incoherent from the previous nights’ partying

@Chewtoy - Did she specifically accuse him of doing this 12 hours earlier or was there a second altercation that morning in the penthouse? I think that and the handyman who helped Majors broke into the bedroom would be important in verifying exactly what happened.

Also it would be important to verify when he actually got home. Did he happen on her with the handyman or could he have been there long enough to have a second altercatio?

It would really help if there was at least security footage of him picking up a tin of tomatoes that morning or something.

@ObserverIO - From everything that I’ve heard, the actual criminal complaint against him is that he injured her in a fight in the cab. While the prosecution amended the original complaint to remove the accusation that he strangled her in the cab when there was no medical evidence to back that up, it would be a huge deal to amend it to a completely different altercation that happened on a different day, in a different location.

Sadly the world seems to be intent on cancelling Jonathan Majors before his day in court. My guess is that re-writes will minimize him in Loki S2 and then Marvel will change course on the next Avengers. I bet we don't get Kang Dynasty and instead Secret Wars becomes a 2 part movie with Doctor Doom.
