LOKI Star Jonathan Majors Faces A Troubling Round Of Allegations Following Arrest For Alleged Assault

Yesterday evening, news broke that Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania and Loki star Jonathan Majors has been arrested following an alleged domestic assault.

The actor is thought to be facing charges of strangulation, assault, and harassment. While he maintains his innocence, there have been additional allegations on social media from those who claim to have a history with the Creed III actor.

Last month, filmmaker A.B. Allen (Rough Draft) took to Twitter to mention an unnamed actor who "is a vicious, cruel, abusive human being, both professionally and in his personal life." Now, Allen has confirmed they were talking about Majors but declined to share more as it would "expose people who have been hurt."

Society Theatre co-founder and Broadway actor/director Tim Nicolai elaborated on that by stating, "folks at Yale and the broader NYC community have known about him for years. He’s a sociopath and abuser and that is how virtually everyone speaks about him."

Quizzed on why he, and others, haven't spoken out sooner, Nicolai put it down to the fact "a victim [needed] to come forward," adding: "A bunch of us are close with people (and sometimes multiple people) he has directly harmed...Literally people [Jonathan Majors] did this to are texting me right now. It’s not ‘I heard.'"

These comments should be taken with a pinch of salt as they're unfounded and there could be any number of reasons as to why both Allen and Nicolai are laying these claims at Majors' feet.

If this is going to open the floodgates to further allegations, one of Hollywood's quickest-rising stars could find his career about to reach a premature end. There's every chance the situation will be resolved without legal intervention, and Majors continues to maintain his innocence.

Marvel Studios and Disney have yet to comment.

What could this mean for Majors in the MCU where he's literally playing countless Variants of the same villain, Kang, as the Multiverse Saga's new big bad.

We'll be sure to keep you updated.

So in order for everyone to come out of the woodworks to launch a barrage of accusations on an actor who is currently the hot topic of Hollywood at the moment "A victim needed to come forward"? That sounds sketchy. It comes off as "We are going to destroy this guy! But let's wait till someone does it first. And then we will join in!" If the accusations are true then Majors needs to suffer the consequences but after what happened to Johnny Depp, I will no longer jump on the guilty bandwagon until the facts are completely out.

@SonOfAGif - Well, it is easier to not get sued for slander when it happens to someone else.

@SonOfAGif - Knowing people who have been in similar situations: coming forward against someone with power is always a risk some are too afraid to take. The accusation might kill your career and future forever, throwing you into a spiral of misery.

It always takes one brave soul to come forward until others feel comfortable to step forward themselves.

Obviously there's always the precedent of people abusing the times we live in to make a quick buck from baseless accusations but the same way he's innocent until proven guilty we also treat the accusers the same way.

@SonOfAGif - reading TMZ’s supposed ‘insider info’ from NYC law enforcement, the whole situation seems very sketchy. There was obviously a witness in the cab driver so any falsehoods would represent absolute stupity on either side

Getting assaulted by Ezra Miller is one thing. Getting assaulted by Jonathan fckin Majors is a whole 'other level.

God this shit is a bummer. I was so excited for Majors to be a major piece of the MCU going forward and to watch his career excel in general, because allegations aside, the dude is a phenomenal actor and is electric on the screen.

If these allegations are all true, RIP MCU phases 5+6.

@thunderpun573 - It's a good thing Kang is all about variants. I don't think it's that far of a logic throw to have somebody look different than Majors for Kang Dynasty.

@KWilly - The thing is we saw the post credit scene with all of his variants and they all with the exception of 1 or 2 look like Jonathan Majors. But they would have to pull some narrative gymnastics to sell us on a completely new Kang.

@SonOfAGif - Yeah, true. But if this accusation is real, then a recast is just gonna have to happen. It'll be a bit disjointing, but it'll be necessary.
