New Details On LOKI Star Jonathan Majors' Arrest Revealed Including The Fact He Called 911

New details have emerged about Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania star Jonathan Majors' arrest this past weekend.

According to Deadline, the actor was the one who called 911 on Saturday evening after this alleged domestic dispute and it was when police arrived that the woman involved made those accusations against Majors. As a result, he was removed from the residence by the police and arraigned in front of a judge a few hours later.

While prosecutors sought a supervised release alongside a full order of protection, the judge instead granted a Limited Order of Protection and Majors was subsequently released.

While the Loki star's lawyer has insisted there's evidence that proves her client's innocence, the case hasn't been thrown out yet and, unless something drastic happens, Majors is expected back in court on May 8.

In the complaint from the Manhattan D.A.'s office, it's said that Majors is accused of "[striking] her about the face with an open hand, causing substantial pain and a laceration behind her ear...she observed the defendant grab her hand, causing swelling, bruising, and substantial pain to her finger. The defendant put his hand on her neck, causing bruising and substantial pain."

As for the specific charges the Majors is facing, we now know that those include several counts of assault in the third degree, a single count of aggravated harassment in the second degree, three counts of attempted assaults in the third degree, and one count of harassment in the second degree.

Again, Majors' lawyer maintains the 33-year-old's innocence and seems confident they have the necessary proof (including video footage) to clear his name.

The actor, who has been cast as the MCU's Kang the Conqueror and is expected to play a huge role in the Multiverse Saga, being exonerated is likely the only thing that will save his career. After all, Disney is unlikely to continue working with Majors if he's eventually found guilty of these accusations.

As we write this, neither Disney nor Marvel Studios have issued any sort of statement.

Well how about that. I saw some posts online this past weekend that had him basically already labeled as a scumbag. People need to just chill out and wait for the facts instead of jumping to judgement right away.

@Kadara - Exactly. And the facts seems to be scattered about. It went from a Taxi to a Residence.

@Kadara - @Kadara - you know, I like Josh and all (mainly because more traffic is always a good thing) but I, and a few others made several of these bullet points in yesterday’s thread, written by Josh.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand:

a) guilty parties do not tend to call the police while they are actively engaged in a crime
b ) prosecution sought to form a narrative for the judge that a full restraining order was necessary and were immediately clapped back. Usually an argument, backed by actual evidence bereft of social prejudices (you know, also known as HARD evidence). Judging by Majors’ rather unique physical attributes, coupled with the supposed bruisings and markings, coupled with this being a domestic (and NYC’s zero tolerance for these), it comes off as VERY interesting that the judge felt that their was not enough of a potential threat to justify a fairly easily obtainable restraining order
c) as stated before, Majors’ legal and public relations teams are putting their cards all in on this immediately, which credentialed firms tend not to bank entire reputations upon lest they are relatively at ease with physical evidence to hack the veracity of their claims. Extremely interesting that they chose to go full exoneration IMMEDIATELY and have listed a litany of items that they claim will back their position, as opposed to framing a narrative based on legalspeak and semantic linguistics

@SauronthePower - This is an excellent summary. I thought it was pretty notable that Majors' defense team had an immediate and specific response to the allegations. I'm very much reserving judgement until we see that footage, but this does read differently than the average "vague gesturing/avoiding the specifics" one tends to see from these sorts of cases.

Typical. A black man calls 911 for assistance, and the police arrest him.

@PlusUltra - If a woman is involved, this happens to every man. Though him being black and his girl being white certainly doesn't help.
