The sizzle reel that screened before Marvel unleashed their barrage of Netflix teasers during last night's SDCC panel has now been officially released online, and gives us some great new footage of Mike Colter's Luke Cage in action as he attempts to tidy up the streets of Harlem.

The new shots are interspersed with scenes from Jessica Jones and the recent second season of Daredevil. Do you think Luke Cage will live up to the standard those shows have set?

After a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage becomes a fugitive trying to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City. But he is soon pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city – forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.

Luke Cage punches onto Netflix on September 30th.

"The world is ready for a bulletproof black man."

I'd even go so far as to say that the world NEEDS a bulletproof black man. And that is why LUKE CAGE is going to be so successful, and dare I say, historical.

Bring it on Marvel.

Marvel is doing well with their Netflix titles. AOS is looking more and more like the JV league.
