Based on the rather lengthy shortlist which surfaced not too long ago, Krysten Ritter faced quite a bit of competition when it came to winning the role of Jessica Jones in the highly anticipated Netflix series which will launch next year. In the video below (skip ahead to around the 4:00 mark), the actress talks about her preparation for the role and what it was like to find out that she will play the lead in A.K.A. Jessica Jones. The series focuses on superhero suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, which leads to her hanging up her costume and opening her own detective agency, where she ends up helping people and assisting other superheroes. I thought she was the best choice out of all the other actresses. Really happy she got the part.

Also, I like detective shows, so a detective show taking place in the MCU is awesome.

@batz11 I think Schwartzman uses Pantene for his hair. Or maybe Garnier Fructis?

The MCU hasn't yet touched on widespread superheroes yet, the closest are the hints at the Inhumans but where it sits now I feel like it would confuse people who only watch casually to understand that there are only a handful of supers but apparently this one was already a super and already quit.

It makes my hair soft, and well, when you have soft looking hair, girls can't help but touch it, ha ha.

I know Luke Cage is in this show, but I hope that doesn't mean that they're skipping over his origin. It's a great story, I'd love to see it adapted in the Luke Cage show.
