Why would he be? Luke isn't a SHIELD agent, in fact he's actually anti-shield (not in a militant way, just he generally doesn't like them) most of the time.

The outfit and powers in the trailer match Luke Cage, but over the years you have had a listers from The Rock to Idris Elba commenting on wanting to play the character so I have large doubts they would give it to J. August no matter how close he is with Whedon.

Most characters in these tv drama hardly ever looks like their comic book counterparts.Not that big of a deal,all that matters is whether or not the story arc,action,and acting is good and well timed.

It's possible. I wouldn't complain if he was in he show, but I'm kinda hoping he's not in it. I want this show to focus more on S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents. That's why it's called AGENTS of S.H.I.E.L.D. and not S.H.I.E.L.D.

I don't think this guy could carry a blockbuster movie . So I don't think that is Luke Cage. If they wanna do a solo movie then they will have to get someone everyone is gonna wanna in a movie.
