Luke Cage has become one of Marvel's most popular comic book superheroes. An Avenger, Thunderbolt and all round bad ass, fans are dying to see him up on the big screen. While a movie from Marvel Studios has been talked about for a fairly long time, we've seen everyone from Isaiah Mustafa to Dwayne Johnson and Idris Elba express interest in taking on the role. And here's another guy to add to the list - between the awful looking costume and misunderstanding of the "Sweet Christmas" catchphrase, he's a hilariously bad choice for the role...



Yeah, I think we can all agree that it would be for the best if this scenario never came to pass!

@thegoddamnsuperguy Great point man. Luke Cage's whole character development comes from him being black, it is what it is.

As great as Idris Elba did as Heimdall I found it weird because the asgardian gods are from NORDIC stories. And he was the only black guy in asgard, seemed like they forced him in.

With that said, he was brilliant

Changing skin color is one really annoying thing in superhero movies. Just like the way they changed kingpin to a black in daredevil. don't look at me as a racist but changing something that's already been done for no reason really pisses me off......just sharing some of my thoughts

@AutoFreek: Michael Clarke Duncan was just the best person for Kingpin IMO. Cause think about it...how many Great actors do you know thats white that fit the bill of natural have a deep menacing voice that are atleast 6'5" and weighs about 300 lbs that can pull off the Kingpin role?

But I do think they couldve casted someone else that wouldve done a great job as Heimdall in Thor rather than Elba. I personally think Kevin Durand wouldve suited the role of Heimdall perfectly.....and this is coming from a black guy myself.

the perry white thing is just a reason for people to whinge in my opinion. if he hadnt been included nobody would have given a shit.

fact is alot of peoples superhero ideals are that majority of superheroes should be white. its the way teh way works

the black ones either cant be very good or must be defined by there race. hence miles(i might as well be alien with all my ethnicity)morales

but i do think the perry white bashers are whingers. when its vice versa it happens and nobody says shit

when they replaced spawns best friend with a white guy nobody said shit.

comicbook characters are for interpretation and whatever the artist or writer desires.

whatever i dont care, i will watch the one 5 minute scene fisherburne gets and i wont give a shit. i will think about the fight scenes, storylines and amazing cg

The only other person who could have played Kingpin as far as descriptions go is Butter bean..And lets be honest here, Michael Clark Duncan was probably the best choice for it..

Certain people can be changed, even though they just shouldn't, not because of racism, just because these fictional characters are already established. They are who they are.

its funny but everyone crying about black actors playing white characters but never complain about white actors playing black characters i.e. Wanted Angelina Jolie played Fox. in the comic book Fox is black not white but no one said sh!t.

Ahhh shit like this happens all the time. Lets move on for which color a character should be and just get good actors to portray the characters that we love. But yes, some make more since than others, but if written well, it really docent matter.
