MARVEL'S RUNAWAYS Prepare To Take The Fight To The Pride In This New Season 2 Trailer

EW has debuted the full trailer and a couple of new promo stills for season 2 of Marvel's Runaways, which is set to premiere on Hulu on December 21.

At the end of season 1, our team of young heroes lived up to their name by going on the run after making the shocking discovery that their parents were actually a cabal of supervillains known as The Pride, but it looks like Gert, Alex, Karolina, Nico, Chase and Old Lace are preparing to go on the offensive.

The footage picks up right after the last shot of the season 1 finale, as the flustered teens get their bearings and decide to combine their formidable abilities in order to put a stop to The Pride's machinations. To do that, they'll need some upgraded tech, which comes to them courtesy of a mysterious new character named Topher (Jan Luis Castellanos), who may not be all that he seems.

Check out the trailer below, and let us know if you plan on tuning in for Runaways season 2.

I thought S1 started off well, but it took a pretty massive dip in quality and by the season finale I felt like I was watching a bad daytime soap opera with superpowers.

@RorMachine - it showed promise then just got worse and worse with each episode. I had to make 3 different attempts just to finish the season. Look, i can be pretty harsh on this show so I'm not going to say anything more negative because I could rant about how bad this show was, so I'll only say this show has a few season 2 episodes to convince me to stay or this will be the first comic book show in recent memory that I actually drop, and I watch Gotham and finished Inhumans so that's saying something.

s1 was weak and slow. they adapted only a few pages of the comic and added so much unneeded bloated padding.

Is it me, or is Nico playing around with Dormammu or becoming a mindless one near the end?

@AbidNaga - she might draw power from the dark dimension unknowningly.

Honestly looks pretty good. I’m going to try to watch the remaining episodes from season 1 but this has promise.

@PantherKing - the trolling of this situation is reaching epic levels.

@MyCoolYoung - it makes the wait for Avengers 4 even worse. People who asked questions about the trailer got the air horn.

@PantherKing - I heard. It really does. The fact that marvel feel no pressure to actually debut the trailer shows so much confidence.

They're going to troll until the end

@MyCoolYoung - it shows confidence but these shouldn’t ride that out. The movie debuts in 5 months they should show a proof of concept at least for everyone to see.

@PantherKing - I mean I agree but if marvel decided not to release a trailer, how many people would not go see this movie?

There aren't many people on the fence about this movie and in infinity war I think marvel showed they aren't worried about people who haven't seen these movies. They aren't catching anyone up.

It's already one of the most anticipated movies for next year if not the most anticapted. There's really no rush for them to put the trailer out and the longer they hold out the more anticipation builds

I enjoyed the first season, but it did feel like a lot of set up to the meat of the story. Hopefully we're onto the main course.

So this is the marvel trailer we've been promised all week? Nice. Hopefully this season hits the ground running as some has said, season 1 was an origin story thru and thru

Who's the girl with the team at the 1:13 mark? Now that the Captain Marvel trailer has broken the embargo on using skrulls could she be Xavin maybe?
