Did SHE-HULK: ATTORNEY AT LAW Just Set The Stage For Marvel Studios' BLADE Reboot? - Possible SPOILERS

While many fans dismissed the latest instalment of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law as a throwaway wedding episode, a line in the show may actually end up having major consequences for the eventual Blade reboot!

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law hasn't necessarily turned the MCU as we know it on its head, but the series has definitely featured its fair share of high-profile cameos. We've already seen The Hulk, Wong, and Abomination, while the likes of Daredevil and, uh, Frog-Man are also right around the corner.

However, following last Thursday's wedding episode, there's speculation that the show may have laid the groundwork for the upcoming Blade reboot starring Mahershala Ali.

While Jennifer Walters was busy being a bridesmaid at a friend's wedding, Mallory Book and Nikki were dealing with a superpowered client in Mister Immortal. The MCU's take on the Great Lakes Avenger saw him turned into a man with many wives (and a husband), and he mentioned at one point that he was once married to a woman called Baroness Lily Cromwell.

If you're a comic book reader, that name might just be familiar to you.

Better known as the villainous Baroness Blood, Cromwell first appeared in a Union Jack comic book (Olivia Colman's character in Secret Invasion will also be part of the Falsworth lineage after we met her ancestor, James Montgomery, in Captain America: The First Avenger).

So, that's one potential MCU link, but even more important is the fact that she also happens to be a vampire. Is it possible Baroness Blood will factor into Blade? There are rumblings that the movie will feature a period setting, and it would be pretty neat for Mister Immortal to make a cameo appearance as the husband of one of the many vampires the Daywalker crosses paths with.

We'll see, but a throwaway line in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law could prove to be more important than any of us expected.

One thing that we do know is Marvel Studios has begun embracing its supernatural side in a big way lately, with Werewolf by Night set to be the next step. Hopefully, the eventual plan is to build to some sort of Midnight Suns project.

I don't know if I can stop posting this in She-Hulk threads now. [frick]ing Mulan and Donny Osmond hit the nail on the head.

"Did they send me daughters when I asked for sons?!"

In seriousness, the show has been a let-down more than it has excited me.

@marvel72 - Yeah I had read it, I was happy for the first few but unlike WandaVision this comedy isn't funny in the interim episodes. And I actually defend the twerking, it's just been boring for weeks.

@GhostDog - just like in 2k, the men can go topless in the park but the women can't? Not equality and not fair

@MyCoolYoung - dude, plenty of places can let women go topless. And almost all places that have a problem with women going top less also have a problem with men going top less too.

@Origame - “ And almost all places that have a problem with women going top less also have a problem with men going top less too.”

I take it you’ve never been to the Bible Belt. Pretty common sight to see fat ugly men sitting on their porch in nothing but tighty whities. Or just any man walking down the street with no shirt. But a woman shows some skin and everyone loses their minds.

6 episodes in and I still haven't heard anything positive about character arcs or overall story.

Always about easter eggs and cameos.

I'm going to have to take a whole 100mg edible to get through binging this once the season is over.

@MyCoolYoung - In Phases 1-3, specifically people talked a lot about Steve and Tony's character arcs. The top positive comments I heard about Moon Knight and Ms Marvel were about character. WandaVision, Loki. People talk about character a lot. In fact, most MCU properties, people like the characters, even when the property isn't a universal hit. People loved Shang-Chi, Wen Wu, and Shang-Chi's sister (I don't remember her name). People liked Yelena, Red Guardian, and Melina. People liked Kate Bishop. If there is one thing that the MCU has typically not lacked over time its been likable characters.

@LiteraryJoe - I'm a light weight. I can't even handle 100mg. 30-40mg will set me up nicely for the few hours itll take to binge the season.

My nephew is crazy and dude will dab and take a 500mg edible. These kids these days.

I feel like She Hulk is the one show you shouldn't read very much into when it comes to throwaway lines.....

.....and it would be both ridiculous and consistent with this shows brilliance if this all actually was creating a platform for a bunch of other stories and characters. This is somehow a show where nothing seems like it's happening and then you look up and Jennifer Walter's is debating whether to defend Abomination while talking to the Hulk who's on a ship headed towards the planet from the 3rd Thor movie. Marvel always finds interesting ways to still be 'Marvel' and they've woven that into this shows DNA seamlessly

@OmegaDaGrodd - yeah like I said above to the people thinking it’s “nothing” it seems intentional like a regular comedy / sitcom usually is it’s connected stories in that the same characters are participating but there’s a through line you’re supposed to follow just tune and see what’s happening that week
OmegaDaGrodd
OmegaDaGrodd - 9/26/2022, 4:43 PM
@ShimmyShimmyYA - I am really digging the way this show layers seemingly paper thin things on top of one another until you look up and there's well built "world within a world" that you didn't realize was being formulated. Not every layer works far above average (most of the legal staff are kinda hit or miss in some episodes) but they've really set up a nice internal logic in an already uniquely toned and plotted show.

It's kinda like a an inverse of Ms Marvel where the show organically built its elements from within, whereas She Hulk consistently weaves in parts that have almost nothing to do with Jen
