SHE-HULK: ATTORNEY AT LAW Addresses ETERNALS' Celestial And Teases Wolverine's MCU Debut - SPOILERS

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has finally addressed what happened in the closing moments of Eternals, while seemingly teasing Wolverine's existence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Read on for details...

At the end of Eternals, Sersi transformed the emerging Tiamut into marble, leaving the ancient being frozen in place in the Indian Ocean. The damage done to Earth by the Celestial's rise must have been significant, while a giant alien appearing without explanation no doubt made countless headlines across the globe.

Despite that, we've yet to see any Marvel Studios movie or TV show address the events of the 2021 movie. It's a little baffling considering Arishem later towered over Earth, but She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has finally tackled what happened...albeit in a relatively subtle way.

As you can see below, there's a headline on a website that Jennifer Walters visits that reads, "Why there is a giant statue of a man sticking out of the ocean." It's a fun Easter Egg, but we certainly hope this isn't the only way Marvel Studios follows-up on that huge development in Eternals.

Perhaps even more noteworthy is what appears to be confirmation that Wolverine exists in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Another of those headlines says "Man fights with metal claws in bar brawl." That sounds an awful lot like something Logan would do, don't you think? In the comic books, Wolverine frequently gets into bar fights and never shies away from unsheathing his claws to deal with those who pose a threat to him, so we can't imagine who else this would be referring to.

There's no way something like this would make it into She-Hulk: Attorney at Law without Kevin Feige's approval, and while we certainly don't expect to see Wolverine appear in this series, this is a very interesting tease. The mutant made his debut in the pages of 1974's The Incredible Hulk #181, so this definitely feels like the right place to hint at his existence.

What did you guys think about today's episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law?

My guy Bruce is just headed totally off-world, so I guess last year’s plot leak wasn’t wrong.

@Madman - I think we've heard from critics that there's no Daredevil in the first four episodes.

@Spock0Clock @Madman - I think it makes sense for DareDevil to show up at a time where she's struggling to balance her two personalities and roles, so a few episodes in sounds about right.

Unless being a Swiss Village Mascot pays really well, Switzerland is pretty expensive to live.

Anyway, they're not much, but it's better than nothing. Wish that article also explains what effect on water displacement and sea levels that giant marble statue has.

Also, hey look another QR code.

@DoubleD - Well, considering that Marvel is clearly setting up some kind of WWH something, and the above reference to Wolverine, I think that your above image may become a reality. Seriously, I think that if ANYONE wants to see that happen in live action it's Feige, and it certainly seems like he's getting all hid 90's era Toy Biz figures out of the toy box and setting them up for an epic brawl, so we'll see...

The mutants have been here this whole time. No multiverse shenanigans, no time travel, no cosmic interference.

Did Charles Xavier really mindwipe the planet of their existence?
Kurne
Kurne - 8/25/2022, 11:16 AM
@comicfan100 - nah, I think a select few Mutants have simply been around this whole time. Like Xavier, Magneto, Wolverine, etc.

But then something happens (or already happened) in the present day-MCU where the Mutant population starts booming, and that's how we can get a young Cyclops, Jean, Iceman, etc for the first lineup.
