SHE-HULK: ATTORNEY AT LAW Delivers A Big Twist As "HulkKing" Mystery Deepens - SPOILERS

In last week's episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Jennifer Walters finally met a nice guy at her friend's wedding. In "The Retreat," we see her romance with Josh blossom, eventually leading to them sleeping together. The next morning, he's vanished, and the lawyer spends most of the episode wondering why she hasn't heard from him.

Thanks to an intervention from Emil Blonsky and his new friends, Jen moves on from Josh and deletes his number from her phone. He clearly ghosted her, but the guy isn't just a jerk.

In a flashback to the night they spent together, we see Josh climb out of bed, using his phone to hack hers. He then walks around the bed and takes a photo of the sleeping Jen, messaging "HulkKing" emojis of a needle, test tube, and thumbs-up with a grin on his face.

The motherf***er.

So, he's obviously part of the Intelligencia, but does this mean he somehow managed to get Jen's blood during their tryst? It certainly looks that way and if HulkKing now has what he needs, we could be about to see She-Hulk forced to square off with a whole host of Hulked out bad guys.

Josh Miller isn't a character from the comic books and we have to believe he's reporting to The Leader. There's no real reason to believe that Abomination is up to no good at this point, and this betrayal is bound to have a negative impact on poor Jen as she continues to struggle with balancing her two sides as Jen and She-Hulk.

With Daredevil likely to appear in next week's penultimate episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Marvel Studios has a lot of story to squeeze into the next couple of weeks. Hopefully, they'll stick the landing as this series could have larger ramifications for the wider MCU.

Let us know your thoughts on Josh's betrayal in the comments section.

@TheDpool - I think he'll be in next week's episode, giving her mentor advice, which allows her to fully come into her own and accepting balance between Jen and She-Hulk in the finale.

@thewanderer - Yeah, I mean watching the show it's kinda confirmed Matt's involvement will be a "You can live both lives" kinda thing. The waiting is just getting too much.

I've 'enjoyed' the show, but each episode has felt like filler episodes for something that should be happening between the lines.

@TheDpool - filler what filler

@TheDpool - I've enjoyed it.

They billed it as a sitcom, and lets be honest, sitcom's are mostly filler.

I think the main issue is we're so used to things happening, often at a rapid pace, in the MCU, and this project is very different than that and it's required an adjustment.

IMO the best way to watch it is just for what it is as a sitcom, and not try to think of it as something in the MCU. It IS in the MCU and there are firm connections, but it's just a very different style of content than the rest of the MCU.

As an example, I've been watching The Orville. I enjoy it, but they are largely contained episodic stories. You can can skip a couple and not miss much in the overall mythology of the show. That's very different than what we're used to with the MCU.

@thewanderer - forgot to add that I do think this is a show that will end up being received much better by being binged rather than being week to week viewing.

@TheDpool -
He's meant to appear in Episode 8, but we have rumours of him being an antagonist in Episode 9.

The rumour is she sleeps with him and then he betrays her by supporting the opposite site in a legal case, and she beats him in that case.

I have a fear this shows finale is gonna be a huge let down and maybe even a disaster with an underwhelming final act.

@TheVandalore - Sooooo....

...like all the other MCU shows so far?

@Orphix - I liked Loki's finale better than I liked the rest of the show, ands WandaVision while disappointing still hit all the emotional beats with Lizzy and Pauls acting. But yeah all the MCU shows have fallen flat by the finale, but i have a feeling the She-Hulk one is gonna be like jumping the shark levels of bad. Just a hunch based on my gut more than anything and how the show has done so far.

Jenn should have learned to not sleep with some random dude so early into knowing him.

@BestAtWhatIDo - Live your life how you want. The data shows that most people, especially women, who are frivolous with sex, regret it and are unhappy about it.
