SHE-HULK: ATTORNEY AT LAW Spoilers - 6 Sensational Ways It Set Up The MCU's Future

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law wrapped up its first season last week, and that finale certainly left fans with plenty to mull over. The show never shied away from jumping the shark, but its meta final episode turned the MCU on its head in some unexpected ways.

Across the course of its nine chapters, Jennifer Walters' live-action debut also laid the groundwork for what comes next in this shared world. You've likely heard the saying that "the future looks bright," but in the MCU's case, the future looks positively green. Needless to say, that's exciting on a number of levels.

Now, we've rounded up the six biggest ways She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has laid the groundwork for stories that will play out in The Multiverse Saga...and beyond. From how it handled certain characters to teeing up a movie that looks positively sensational, this show wasn't one to sleep on.

6. A More Powerful Daredevil

Marvel Television (mostly) delivered high-quality TV shows on Netflix, but they were definitely limited when it came to visual effects. That was likely down to budgetary issues, and would explain why Iron Fist so rarely used his, uh, iron fist.

As for Daredevil, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law made it apparent that, under Marvel Studios' purview, the Man Without Fear will be quite a bit more powerful. While his strength has largely remained the same, he was able to fend off She-Hulk's attack and jumped down the side of a parking lot with ease.

Throw in how much more effectively his batons can now be portrayed, and this series has set the stage for a whole new take on Matt Murdock in Daredevil: Born Again. Whether his newfound humour will extend to that show remains to be seen, but we'd like to see some levity.

5. Fourth-Wall Breaks

She-Hulk's frequent fourth-wall breaks led to some of the show's funniest moments, but Marvel Studios went seriously meta in the finale when she smashed through the Disney+ menu to confront "K.E.V.I.N."

There, Jen was able to rewrite her finale, but the A.I. made it clear that it would be ensuring she couldn't do so again. That likely limits how fourth-wall breaks can be used in the MCU moving forward, meaning we can probably forget about Deadpool wandering through the hallowed halls of Marvel Studios in his upcoming threequel.

Still, She-Hulk turning to the camera to address the audience has done a great job of preparing fans for the Merc with the Mouth's MCU debut. In this character's case, though, it feels like a storytelling device probably limited to her own show.

4. Meet Skaar

Screen-Shot-2022-10-13-at-10-03-01-AM

In one of the final episode's more perplexing moments, The Hulk shows up at the Walters family barbeque with his son, Skaar, by his side. He introduces the kid, but that's all we get and the episode quickly shifts back to what's going on with Jen.

Clearly, when that ship was sent to Earth, it was to tell Bruce that he has a child waiting for him back on Sakaar. The MCU's take on the Planet Hulk storyline was vastly different to what fans saw on the page, so we have no clue who the teenager's (?) mother is or how he feels to be by his father's side on an alien planet.

It doesn't look like they'll have the same combative relationship as when they first met in the comics, anyway, and The Hulk is now the latest original Avenger to acquire a sidekick. That's Stargirl actor Wil Deusner playing Skaar, though we don't know whether he's just a placeholder.

3. Wongers: The Series?

79b39f3sb8qw43wqrxvq8bhb

Wong established himself as an absolute scene-stealer in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, with his and Madisynn's unique dynamic striking a chord with fans in a major way.

The show established that Wong freed The Abomination from prison in order to complete his training as Sorcerer Supreme, and was later key in ensuring his freedom. Unfortunately, Emil Blonsky couldn't help but attempt to cash in on his monstrous persona, using it to make money by giving motivational talks...leading to another decade in prison.

In a mid-credits scene, Wong freed Emil yet again, albeit permanently this time. Taking the reformed supervillain to Kamar-Taj, the stage appeared to be set for an unlikely team-up. Could it happen in a Wong Disney+ series or a standalone special? We have a feeling it just might.

2. Jennifer Walters' Blood Still Matters...We Think

A huge subplot in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law saw a mysterious villain set out to steal Jen's blood. The Wrecking Crew tried and failed, but The Intelligencia's "HulkKing" eventually convinced a good-looking guy named Josh to seduce the lawyer and acquire it by more nefarious means.

In the finale, we learned that Todd was the one behind that group of incels, and he used a concoction to transform into a Hulk. It was then that the hero rewrote her finale and, by the time all was said and done, that a**hat no longer had superpowers.

Remember, it was established early on that Jen's blood is unique and that it could be used to create more Hulks. While this show has moved on from that subplot, we can't help but think it will be revisited down the line...and that a retcon of sorts might be in store following the Disney+ series.

1. World War Hulks

Fans theorised that, with The Leader set to return in Captain America: New World Order, he must be the one who was pulling the strings of The Intelligencia. Alas, it was Todd all along.

He could quite easily be revealed as Ant-Man and The Wasp's mysterious Benefactor and the mastermind behind The Falcon and The Winter Soldier's Super Soldier Serum, but planning hasn't been Marvel Studios' strong suit in Phase 4. Despite that, we're confident he will be teaming up with Harrison Ford's General "Thunderbolt" Ross with an eye to creating new Hulks.

Red Hulk is bound to be among them, and all of this has to be leading not to World War Hulk (which saw the Jade Giant return to Earth to conquer it), but to World War Hulks. In that story, The Leader transformed countless heroes and villains into Hulks, unleashing chaos in the process. That would make one heckuva movie...

@DoubleD - I’m convinced you’re a rotten tomatoes bot created by Disney to push everything mcu in our faces all the time…either that or an mcu neckbeard. Regardless, just calm the hell down!

If we want to look up the rotten scores we can do it ourselves or Josh will post about it at some point…

The only thing in my opinion that was any good was Daredevil

He was different from the Netflix show but still badass

Everything else was trash

Did you see Skaar?

Loved this one. Loki still takes the cake, tho Damn, can't wait for that second season.

I would've never guessed those would be my top 2 MCU D+ series.

Will we ever get this again

@WakandaTech - yes. We need to and I think New World Order is likely building up to classic Hulk’s return.

Hopefully it can put the Hulk franchise back on track and undo some of the damage done in this show.

@WakandaTech - As bad as the Hulk has been, yes. We'll 100% get a more angry and savage Hulk again.

This is a character that doesn't need an actor to appear on screen. They can completely separate Banner and Hulk and make Hulk 100% CGI if they want.

And Hulk's entire character is about going through different mutations and forms. This is really only the 3rd one we've seen. And while it sucks horrendously bad, there are still quite a lot they can do with Hulk. They just need to get past this idiotic Smart Hulk phase. It sucked in the comics and it sucks in the movies.

@CorndogBurglar - Yeah, he was pretty static in terms of mutations for the first few decades, just dumb and green, the big changes were after my main comic reading days, but I'm pretty sure there were plenty of issues where you never saw Banner at all.

@Corruptor - For sure. Banner and Hulk have been completely separated on more than one occasion.
