Disney+'s highly anticipated She-Hulk series is scheduled to start shooting early next year, and it looks like Marvel is now looking to cast some key supporting roles.

According to The Illuminerdi, actors are currently being sought to play Jennifer Walters’ parents; a strong supporting male co-worker in his late 20’s-30’s who's described as being "sweet, earnest, handsome in a John Krasinski sort of way;" and Walters’ best friend, codenamed Susie. This role is said to be "leaning Asian-American but definitely BIPOC, and comedy chops are listed as essential."

Most interestingly, the show is also casting for a female villain in her 30’s under the codename of Lucy, who is described as "a glamorous social media influencer, Kardashian-esque with a dark side."

Walters has had several close friends in the comics over the years, including the the Blonde Phantom (both incarnations), Jill Stevens, and Patsy "Hellcat" Walker. She's also crossed paths with a number of female villains, with Titania and Ultima among the more notable. Neither of them fall into the social media influencer category, but that doesn't mean their characters couldn't be altered to better fit the above description.

What do you guys make of these breakdowns? Do you think we'll see any established Marvel Comics characters join Miss Walkers on the show?

Tatiana Maslany is reportedly set to star as She-Hulk (though she has actually denied her involvement), with Mark Ruffalo all-but confirmed to appear as Bruce Banner. Dead To Me director Kat Coiro wil helm the pilot and several other episodes, while Rick and Morty scribe Jessica Gao will lead the writers room.

@Se4M4NSt4ine - Joel Kinnaman types are so last year. Now its all about that John Krasinski types. Of course for girls its still Allison Brie types.

I was hoping for Wyatt Wingfoot. And I would love to see Jen be Jen and She-Hulk for a bit and then do the Byrne storyline where she is exposed to alien radiations and is stuck as She-Hulk and her reaction is "What's the bad news".

I'm kinda surprised they're not making Jennifer herself an influencer. I could see it.

A John Krasinski type and a girl named Susie? Are we getting the beginnings of an FF in this show?

@JonC - it sounds like they want fantastic four to be the franchise moving forward. I highly doubt they'd introduce them in one of their shows, especially since this is a spin off of a franchise thats easily the weakest in the mcu.

Open casting for this ‘villain’ makes me think it’s not a main antagonist but rather a more minor character.

Marvel tends to know who they want to play their villains and go straight to them.

I can see this show as a PG Jessica Jones feel.

She-hulk has so many great characters, threads, ideas: Awesome Andy, Titania, John Jameson, ties to Avengers and FF, wacked out cases to plead like Starfox, Howard the Duck, Man-Thing. Hoping for more of that and less of social media influencer tripe that could be in a billion other more mundane shows.

Never seen Rick and Morty, but there will be character depth, emotional stakes, out there ideas?

They should bring in Rachael Taylor to reprise her Trish Walker, and why not throw in Krysten Ritter! Time to make Jessica Jones Netflixverse canon!

Wouldn't it be sweet if the purpose of the Multiverse of Madness is to cast the Netflix actors? We are past the 2 years freeze by Netflix right?
