WANDAVISION Season 2 Not Planned, But Some Of Marvel's Disney+ Shows WILL Continue

We've known for a while now that WandaVision would set-up the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but some hoped that the success of Marvel's first Disney+ series would lead to a second season being given the go-ahead.

However, Kevin Feige has now confirmed that there are currently no plans for WandaVision Season 2, making it clear that Scarlet Witch's (Elizabeth Olsen) story will continue in Sam Raimi's upcoming sequel.

“Lizzy Olsen will go from WandaVision to the Doctor Strange film,” said the Marvel Boss during today's TCA - though he did add that he's "been at Marvel too long to say a definite ‘No’ to anything as far as a second season of WandaVision.”

It sounds like some of the other Disney+ shows will continue beyond a single season, although we don't know which ones.

“The fun of the MCU is obviously all the crossover we can do between series, between films," Feige continued. "So it will vary based on the story. Sometimes it will go into a season 2, sometimes it will go into a feature and back into a series. Sometimes, and yet to be announced, we’re thinking of and planning second seasons for some of the upcoming series,”

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is next, but we also have Loki, Ms. Marvel, Hawkeye, Moon Knight, She-Hulk and other recently announced sieries on the way. Right now, it's impossible to tell which ones will continue beyond their initial seasons, and which ones will set-up future big-screen adventures.

Are you disappointed that WandaVisoion will most likely finish up after its Season 1 finale next Friday?

@SnideCut
I feel you.

It's strange, but...i kinda feel like Superman has been growing up with me.
I'm not a father yet, but that day ain't that far away either.
Like, it CAN'T be a coincidence that after 75 plus years, he's just...a father now, both in comics and now here.
I dunno if people realize this, but the character has evolved guys, with Marvel it's lil bit different, think about Peter Parker where we are still trying to fix OMD.
But Batman, Superman, Aquaman...they have a kid and this thing will stick.
And i've experienced this whole journey, Superman was a kid or a teenager or a man when i was a kid/teenager/man.

No kidding, but Smallville truly shaped me in a way, Jonathan Kent did, how i view Superman and many other things.
And now? All that lessons learned, how the Kents guided him...now he gets to teach those lessons to his son(s), now more than ever he understands Jonathan.
It's just the pilot and we've already lost the Kents, i hated that but...i understand...

This now feels like a spiritual sequel to SV, it lasted for 10 seasons and after 10 years...i'm finally ready for another adventure! :D

P.S. I still wanna see SuperRouth again, he was just too good in COIE!

@Franshu - Wandavision is a play on Television and that television arc is a one and done concept. Wouldn't make sense if Wandavision season 2 drops with zero to do with the sitcom plotpoint.

I lose interest when they start announcing these shows will have multiple seasons. Feels like they're announcing some of their shows don't have an end goal and will be fluff.

While Wanda will be moving on, I was kind of hoping that there might be a follow-up for the Vision in some form from the same creative team.

But yeah, WandaVision always seemed more like a miniseries than an ongoing.

In order to do wandavision season two they would have to resurrect vision (maybe that's what their planning) or rehash the same plot of season 1. Not even sure how to make a season 2 to this show.

I like the miniseries idea. Some stories need a little more time to breathe and we can't be having 4-6 hr theatrical releases.

I'm sure Hawkeye, Ironheart, the twins, etc get a continuation Defenders style as their second season, except hopefully better. She Hulk probably gets more than one season with crossover potential.

No second season of Wandavision.

Continue into first season of Mojovision.

Not surprising given Wanda's arc will probably be wrapped up in Multiverse of Madness. Not every character needs a multiple season show. With that being said, I'm hoping we at least get a few seasons with Falcon and Winter Soldier.

WandaVision doesn't need a season 2. If it did, it will ruin the purpose of season 1.
