Ali Larter And Zachary Quinto Talk HEROES: REBORN

Actress Ali Larter gives an unequivocal no to returning as Niki Sanders on NBC's Heroes: Reborn, while Zachary Quinto sounds as if he needs to give the idea a little more thought. Would you want to see more Sylar in the new series?

Actress Ali Later, who played Niki Sanders on Heroes, a woman with multiple personalities that each displayed different super powers has given her thoughts about returning to the role for Heroes: Reborn. In short, it's not likely to happen. Said Larter to TV Guide, "No, At this point, I think I've heard that Jack [Coleman] is coming back, but I'm committed to [TNT's] Legends. I'm on series, so I don't have the time to work on another project. Not that I didn't love Heroes and loved working on it, but I'm just at a different stage of my life. I'm super excited and proud to be a part of this show and working with Sean Bean and an incredible cast."

Elsewhere, Zachary Quinto was also asked about returning to the world of Heroes as the character that made him famous, Sylar. The Star Trek Into Darkness actor told IGN, "I've been in touch with Tim [Kring, creator] and he told me they were doing this and we left the door open for me to be involved, the trouble is really my availability." He then expressed a few more doubts, particularly about revisiting a role from years past when he's trying to push his career forward.  "I don't know that it would really even be possible. And it's a challenge for me because that experience and role and opportunity really changed my life completely and sent me on a path that I might not have otherwise have been on, but at the same time I'm very interested in forward momentum, I'm very interested in expanding and defying people's expectations of me....no one's actually given me an offer. We'll see. I'm glad they're doing it and I know that whether or not I'm involved that the fans will enjoy it."

Heroes: Reborn is described as a soft reboot of the original 2009 NBC superhero drams which chronicled everyday, normal people discovering they possessed uncanny abilities.  A 13-episode miniseries is expect to air in 2015.  Thus far, the only original Heroes cast member confirmed to return is Jack Coleman as Noah Bennett aka HRG

Aww that's a shame, Ali Larter was really the best part about the show for me.
She was just awesome as all of her different characters. I would've loved to have seen her back as Barbara (the third triplet) I felt that was a storyline left wide open.

Sylar was better in small doses, Season 1, then after that his character got too much for me.

Sylar ruined the show, along with a lot of other things. I don't want this series to be eclipsed by Sylar. Heroes became the Sylar Show after a while. He should have died at the end of Season 1 like he was apparently supposed to.

The first and last season were great. The show should be a reboot

Ali Larter would make a great movie universe Black Canary or any female superhero for that matter. She's gorgeous, has the acting chops (see the great biopic Crazy)and can kick ass in action roles. It amazes me that Larter, Milla Jovovich and Kate Beckinsale have never been cast in an X-Men film. Their individual contributions in the Underworld, Ultraviolet and Resident Evil films came off as more super-heroic (costumes were better as well) than most portrayals of super heroines on screen these days.

Personally, I would have liked to have seen Olivia Munn (yes, she can act) as Wonder Woman but lets see what happens with Gal Gadot.

IF YOU REALLY JUST PUT OUT THERE..WHAT DO YOU REMEMBER THE MOST FROM THE SERIES? WHAT DID YOU TRULY LIKE AN WHAT MADE YOU COME BACK? FOR ME I REMEMBER PETER AND HIM GETTING POWER AFTER POWER, HIRO AND HIS TIME TRAVELING, THE FIRST COUPLE SEASONS AND SYLAR AND HAYDEN PANTY-TEAR...THATS PRETTY MUCH IT. THOSE ONLINE COMICS WERE COOL

HEROES is a shining example of a show that would probably have fared better creatively as a 6 or 10 episode per season cable series.

For me, things really went off the rails when the writers got lost in their convoluted time travel plotting.

Really? Sylar easily became the favorite after they neutered Peter's powers.
Sylar didnt ruin the show, the writer's strike did.

Amongst many [frick]ups beyond about the middle of season two (arguably towards the end of season one even), relying too much on Sylar was one of them.

I stuck with the whole thing through to the bitter end, but mostly because I liked the actors and I'm a superhero fx addict. The show was really and truly terrible by the end. Soooooo much shark-jumping, no coherence or direction whatsoever.

Which is such a shame, because the first few episodes were superlative and really showed what a modern superhero tv show concept could be.

Speaking of which, I liked Alphas a lot, and it's a shame Syfy canned that show. That had the opposite problem, a poor start, but it built momentum, but by then it had no audience.

Should make it an alternate universe. Bring everyone back for one episode, due to their schedules and other commitments. Then reboot it with new people and events. Something like that would be cool to see. Perhaps somebody changed something that created a whole new timeline of events.

Here's a thought on this if Quinto doesn't become of the cast. If this is a reboot I would love to see a new similar type of character. What about someone like Brandon Routh playing a version of Sylar or a similar character?
