The saga behind the 2006 breakout series Heroes will continue as creator Tim Kring returns to the fold and develops new layers to his original superhero concept. This highly anticipated 13-episode miniseries will reconnect with the basic elements of the show’s first season where ordinary people were waking up to the fact that they had extraordinary abilities. This series will be preceded by a new digital series that will introduce audiences to the new characters and storylines that will take the Heroes phenomenon to new places.

Heroes Season 1 is one of the greatest seasons of television of all time.

The rest? Not so much.

Am cautiously optimistic for this though...

I was faithful to that show to the very end. Season one was amazing and the last season was really good. I hope they do the show justice. This clip is really short they should have added a bit more.

YES!!!!!! Season one was [frick]ing epic, 2 and 3 were weak cuz of the writers strike. Season 4 was good but it was too late.

The problem with Heroes was always Tim Kring. He's like George Lucas...good abstract concepts, terrible execution and he is his own worst enemy.

Without strong secondary writers involved like Bryan Fuller, this show is DOA.

The other problem with the show is that negative word of mouth precedes it. Everyone knows Heroes sucked past the first season (well, actually, including the first season, which fell apart by the lame finale). It left a bad taste in everyone's mouth.

They're asking audiences they let down to trust them again, and that will be an uphill climb. Here's hoping it's worth watching...

I might be the only one that enjoyed every season (I fully acknowledge the drop in quality in the later half of the series run) including the Carnival season. My one MAJOR complaint and the thing that REALLY mad me mad was when they took Peter's abilities and downgraded them to a "1 power at a time" mimic ability. This looks sick though.

I loved Heroes when it started back then, but the downward spiral really began when they didn't finish S1 with a real ending. I did kind of enjoy the following seasons, otherwise I wouldn't have watched them, but the show never really came close to living up to it's potential aside from large parts of S1.
