The man that once hunted ghosts is now hunting the Heroes.

Oz" alum Ernie Hudson has joined NBC's drama series "Heroes" in a recurring role.

He will play Captain Lubbock, a Baltimore detective.

As usual, the show's producers are keeping story line details under wraps. IT is understood that Lubbock is on the hunt for one of the other characters on the show.

"Heroes" marks a return to the police beat for Hudson, who played a detective in a recurring role on ABC's "Desperate Housewives." He also played a senior deputy on ABC's dramedy "10-8: Officers on Duty."

The upcoming fourth season of "Heroes" introduces a major new mythology about a traveling carnival of people with special powers run by a charismatic but evil Earth-moving ringleader (Robert Knepper).

This season of Heroes has a lot of star power. Will the story be good enough? I for one think this show has jumped the shark(or thrown the S ;)) ever since the third season.

I'll still watch it as I'm a sucker for a superhero show, but I'm not excited about this. The show needs new writers and a cast culling.

He also played a cop in "The Crow". i think it's the "stache", makes it more believable.

They should just stop making this show. Its just like Smallville they have good ideas but poor execution.

I think Heroes is a fine show. Nothin' bad to say. Could use a little more flyin' but overall, it's pretty damn cool. Interested to see where they go with the Sylar Nathan situation. And obviously THE Nathan is dead....but will he somehow come back from the grave?? Who knows?

I WAS A FAN FROM THE BEGINNING, THE LAST SEASON WAS SO SO..I THINK THEY WERE TRYING TO CUT COSTS AND THE EFFECTS WERE LITTLE, ITS ONLINE GRAPHIC NOVEL RECENTLLY HAD MORE THAT I WANTED TO SEE HAPPENING IN THE SHOW, BASICALLY, MY GRIPE WAS THE POWERS OF TWO OF THE COOLEST CHARACTERS WERE TAKEN AWAY, WATERED DOWN, PETER AND HIRO..THEY WERE THE COOLEST PART IN THE SERIES AND THEY TOOK THEM DOWN 1000 NOTCHES..THATS MY ONLY GRIPE.

Wow whatever "writer" wrote this post just couldn't leave out the slightly offensive "Token" and simply call Ernie a Ghostbuster.

CBM INSERT: Is it wrong? Was the 4th Ghostbuster absolutely necessary to advance the plot of the movie? Isn't it MORE offensive to give minority actor's MINOR roles in order to be politically correct? Ghostbusters is what EVERYONE remembers Ernie for FIRST, and whether you like it or not, he was a token in the movie. Why is the truth a problem?

Heroes needs to reel it in and pack it up.

Thanks for a great first season and a half of storytelling.

Now stop wasting my time.

i'm wit gunsmith. i was upset when they took away peter and hiro's powers. i didn't even finish season 4. now i'll just tie myself to the computer and finish it so i can be up to date for this next one. hope they make it better

CBM INSERT: I predicted that from the beginning, and that was one of the reasons why this series was doomed from the start. You can't make characters so all powerful and not have problems.

EXACTLLY DROOPY, I USE TO GO TO THE HEROES WEBSITE, TRIED TO GO TO OTHER FANSITES TO GET THE SCOOP OR SPOILERS,,THEN THEY MUCKED UP MY 2 FAVORITE CHARACTERS HIRO AND PETER, THEY WANTED TO NOT MAKE THEM TOO POWERFUL..HONESTLLY, THEIR ARE MORE POWERFUL HEROES AND VILLAINS IN THE COMIC WORLD THAT DO JUST FINE..I REALIZE TIME TRAVEL CAN BE TRICKY TO WRITE, FANS GET EVERY DETAIL,IM SURE ITS NERVWRAKING, AND PETER GETTING POWER AFTER POWER,I DONT KNOW WHY WRITERS CHANGE A GOOD THING, IT WAS A GOOD FORMULA, PEOPLE LOVED IT,HECK FINALE EPISODES ARE SUPPOSED TO BE EPIC AND THE ONE EPIC FIGHT BETWEEN PETER NATHAN AND SYLAR-WAS REPLACED BY CLAIRE WATCHING IT THROUGH A CRACK IN THE DOOR AND FLASHING LIGHTS,I WANNA BE BLUNT,IT WAS LAME.IM A FAN AND IT FELT LIKE YOU THROUGH A FILLED DOUCHE BOTTLE AT MY CURIOUS FACE.

Token?...... DAMN! It's true though.
superdog
superdog - 8/12/2009, 5:09 PM
Agreed. They took powers from people who could use them ( Peter, hiro) then gave powers to people who didn't need them (suresh,ando).... Didn't make any frigen sense. Those characters were all fine the way they were and could progress in character development just fine. Stupid.

This show has become lame. Season 1 was fantastic. It was all downhill from there. The biggest problem was that the show lost its sense of humanity. The show was originally about everyday people with super powers. Now its just a poor rip off of X-Men. They have absolutely no character loyalty and no clear direction. It's sad, actually. Although I will watch season 4 just so I have something else to bitch about.

Scarlet@ sometimes I think that's why we all watch these shows and movies. Just to bitch abut them :) I dint usually bail on sci-fi shows, but I might not make it to the end of this season if it doesn't turn around. I have hope though that the t-bag guy from prison break and Ray park might turn it around.

i could see it now hudson the cop looks to sylar who is nathan i guess and says when someone ask if your a god you say yes!!!!! and then ntahan/sylar looks to him and splits his head in half and smiles and says what did you think i said no....

but hey you never know the cop could have the powers to talk to the dead and become a ghostbuster all over again and then gozer comes alive as mr. stay puff and the heroes have to defeat him

Really CBM??? Your not gonna do anything about the "Token" in the headline?
Maculis
Maculis - 8/13/2009, 7:27 PM
it's crazy that CBM doesn't have a problem with one of it's writers calling a black man a "token". I'm assuming you guys think it's actually really funny so it doesn't count. But it does!
