Looking to fill the void left by the finale of HBO's
Game of Thrones, Netflix has wasted no time promoting the return of its own original series,
Stranger Things. With the third season of the hit sci-fi show premiering this July, the streaming service has officially begun the countdown to summer.
The newest
Stranger Things 3 trailer takes us to Hawkins' local community pool where families go to combat the heat and moms gather for a view of teenage heartthrob Billy Hargrove, played by Dacre Montgomery. Most notable among the group is Mike and Nancy’s mom, Karen Wheeler, who you might recall had a somewhat steamy moment with Billy in season two.
The bullying older brother of Sadie Sink's Max, Billy wasn't exactly a likeable character in the second season, though his scene with Mrs. Wheeler was a pretty entertaining moment. His rivalry with Steve escalated to a full-blown brawl and the reprocussions will likely carry over into season three. Billy figures to play a pretty prominant role in Stranger Things 3, but for now enjoy the view of him as a shirtless lifeguard.
Stranger Things 3 premieres on Netflix on July 4. The
