Season 2 of The Witcher hit Netflix this past Friday, and if you've already managed to binge-through all 8 episodes, you'll more than likely have caught a first look at some footage from upcoming prequel series, Blood Origin, as a post-credits scene.

The streamer has now officially released the teaser trailer online, giving us a glimpse of our elven heroes in action.

Michelle Yeoh (Shang-Chi, Gunpowder Milkshake) will star as Scían, "the very last of her nomadic tribe of sword-elves, she is an artist with the blade, on a deadly quest that will change the fate of the Continent." She'll be joined by Laurence O’Fuarain (Game of Thrones, Vikings, Black 47) as Fjall, "a warrior who was born into a clan sworn to protect a King," and Jodie Turner-Smith (Queen and Slim, True Blood, Nightflyers) as Éile, "a warrior turned travelling musician from a rival clan."

Specific plot details are still mostly under wraps, but we do know that the show will be set 1200 years before the events of The Witcher, and focus on the origin of the very first monster hunter as well as the events that lead to the pivotal "conjunction of the spheres."

Declan de Barra will serve as showrunner and will also executive produce along with Lauren Schmidt Hissrich. The Witcher novelist Andrzej Sapkowski is on board as creative consultant.

Blood Origin is set to premiere next year.

About halfway through season 2 of Witcher. Pretty good so far and a big improvement on the first, mostly due to no weird timeline confusing things.

I guess it’s time to get into season two

Wish season 2 was better than that. The first episode was solid, but after that, nothing really happens. Geralt and Jaskier are always a pleasure to see, but I feel like I watched 8 hours of nothing. Still looking forward to season 3 though.
I assume this spinoff show will delve into the Elder Blood prophecy, so I hope it's more eventful than season 2.

Trailer was cut weird with that music. Otherwise, this looks entertaining. Sad to see Michelle Yeoh age, she has always been an older woman crush of mine.

I'd assumed this would be following the first Witchers but it seems like that might be how it ends? Only a short trailer but those 3 Elves definitely seem like the focus and main characters.

I was hoping for Conjunction and first Witchers at the start and the rest of the series going from there

It's ironic how a beautiful trailer for The Northman gets followed by a horrible trailer for this.

It looks cheap, and it seems to me the showrunner had an idea - ''why don't we add all races in one place?''

I am not a racist, but it doesn't seem usual for the Witcher setting.

On the other hand, the first season of Witcher also didn't have very good trailers and it turned out to be a blast. I hope this will too.

This looks terrible. I need to start S02, so I'll get around to it after I watch Hawkeye.
