Netflix has yet to release a teaser for the upcoming second season of The Witcher, but they have shared the first snippets of footage in this new "Monster Mash" promo.

The video is a compilation of scenes that feature Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill) encountering or doing battle with various creatures from the first season, but there are a couple of brief glimpses of monsters we will meet during the show's sophomore run.

The first can be seen around the 15 second mark, and appears to be a mass of hay and blood (there's even an eye in there somewhere) moving along the ground. Could this be the feet of a Leshen, perhaps? It's impossible to tell for sure.

Then, 30 seconds in, we see another beast... or what's left of it! There's speculation that this trio could be an incarnation of the Crones of Crook-Back Bog, but that obviously remains to be seen.

"Convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen," it reveals. "While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside."

The Witcher Season 2 is set to premiere sometime next year, and will also see the return of Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, Freya Allan as Ciri, and Joey Batey as the sublimely irritating Jaskier.

New additions to the cast include Kristofer Hivju as Nivellen, Yasen Atour as Coen, Agnes Bjorn as Vereena, Paul Bullion as Lambert, and Thue Ersted Rasmussen as Eskel.
