THE WITCHER Star Henry Cavill Is Just Like Us; Spends Quarantine Painting WARHAMMER Figures

Justice League and The Witcher star Henry Cavill has taken to social media to reveal how he's spending his time in quarantine, and it sounds like it's not all that different to a lot of his fans...

Things are still pretty grim right now, but Henry Cavill has shared an Instagram post  that should cheer a lot of people up.

After playing Superman in Justice League and Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher, it's fair to say that the British actor has plenty of geek cred, but did you think he would be spending his time in quarantine painting Warhammer 40K miniatures?

Well, that's exactly what the DC Extended Universe's Man of Steel is doing, and it's clear from his comments below that he's a huge fan of the property (as well as the game featuring these figures, it's inspired novels, comic books, and video games, so it's a world with plenty of history).

You have to believe Cavill would be open to starring in some sort of big screen adaptation based on this reveal of his love of Warhammer 40K, so here's hoping Hollywood has taken note.

It's also worth noting that the actor used this post to share his gratitude with the real-life heroes who are currently saving lives in the NHS (the UK's National Health Service). Cavill is a class act, and definitely someone we're hoping to see more of beyond the planned second season of The Witcher.

Considering we are, both, going through the Easter period, and going through The Lockdown, I figured it a good time to put a silver lining onto the cloud that is some of the darker moments during this time. So I've decided to polish some old skills and try my hand at some new ones! It is a time of rebirth after all. So, as you can see here, the obvious might look a little bit like a tiny helmet...which it is. One of my almost life long hobbies, that I've been following but not actively doing, is this. A company called Games Workshop...or plastic crack as "we" call it. Genuinely can't get enough of the lore they have built over the decades. They have been some of my most enthused reads! If you were in denial about me being a geek before, you can't hide from it now. Also, in the background of this photo, there may just be some completely new skills I'm working on.....or there may not be, so all of your eye squinting and attempts at digital unfocusing will be in vain....orrrr maybe they won't. I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank, from the bottom of my heart, all of the NHS (National Health Service, here in the UK) and healthcare workers worldwide, for your unceasing efforts to protect us. I imagine it might be feeling a little rough right now, but you Ladies and Gents are absolutely smashing it! Keep it up! You got this. "Hold on a second", I hear you utter....."if he has both hands in the photo...how is he taking the photo??" New skills, my friends....new skills. #Easter #Passover #GamesWorkshop #ProperGeek #Custodes #NewSkills #NHS #ThankYou #Raggy?

I mean, I've spent my quarantine trying to aim the camera up Tifa's skirt in Final Fantasy 7 Remake, but sure, Henry Cavill's just like me.

Well that does it. This man deserves a Superman. One where he actually acts like Superman. And battles Brainiac.

@ANewPope - I didn't even know she was still a thing. Instagram Live brings out the worst in so-called celebrities and it's funny every time.

Also love seeing people talk about Andrew Garfield again. My boy deserved better than those films.
