THE MANDALORIAN "Chapter 4" Answers Some Major Questions; New Stills Released - SPOILERS

The latest episode of The Mandalorian is now streaming on Disney+, and it seemingly addresses at least two major questions we've had since the premiere. A gallery of stills from "Chapter 4" are also here!

Since The Mandalorian premiered, there have been hints that the title character may not actually be, well, a Mandalorian. During "Chapter 4," that's seemingly confirmed when the bounty hunter tells one of the villagers he's protecting that the Mandalorians took him in when his parents were killed. It's possible they were also Mandalorians, but the way he says this makes him sound like an outsider.

He also mentions that he's not removed his helmet in front of anyone since he was a child, and between the reveal about the Mandalorians taking in outsiders and talk of "The Purge" in previous episodes, it appears as if this race may not be as strong as they once were thanks to the evil Empire.

Another big reveal comes when it's confirmed that Baby Yoda is a he rather than a she. That's something most of us assumed to be the case after last week's episode, but it's now 100% official.

The Western feel wasn't quite there in "Chapter 4" but Cara Dune is a badass new ally for the Mandalorian, even if it does appear as if she's done in the show for now (IG-11 also vanished after one episode following a blaster shot to the head which took him out in short order). The plot continues to thicken, though, and next Friday definitely can't get here soon enough.

What did you guys think of The Mandalorian this week? Share your thoughts below once you've hit the "View List" button to check out some newly released images from this instalment of the show.

There an obviously female character, now can we just enjoy this great show.

Plus the leader of the Mandalorians is a women, how did the whiners not notice that.

It's The Mandalorian and baby Yoda's story, its told from their perspective, its not a show with a large cast like Firefly or the other Star Wars movies, its one main character, other characters will show up when they need to.

@dracula - If by "whiners" you mean the people who did not like Mar-Vell being sex-swapped to a woman in Captain Marvel, that would about being true to the original books. The Mandalorian is a completely original story. The female leader of the Mandalorians is a new character, not some tokenized version of a preexisting character.

@Skinwalker - im talking about the people who trashed the show because no major female character showed up right away (like I said its The Mandalorian's story, he is the only main character, other characters like the one we got will show up when needed) It's fine to have a good character that is female, but there are even a few people who say stuff like why can't the Mandalorian be a women, like seriously most of Disney star wars has been female led, seriously guys need representation too, not everything needs a female lead.

To be fair both sides of these issues can be really annoying at times. I blame Ghost Busters 2016. Ever since then every big movie is usually accused of being toxic masculinity or sjw propaganda. It's like after that shit fest caused by the cast and director, both sides just got fed up.

I miss the days when we could just enjoy a show or movie when we didn't have to deal with the internet going crazy.

I personally don't care either way, male lead or female lead. I just want a good story. Sure it would be nice to have everyone represented, but The Mandalorian is fine the way it is, and there are strong female characters, even if they arent main characters. If they want them to cram in another main character just to have one, that is tolkenism.

@Skinwalker - on the Mar-Vell thing, really i never read a captain marvel comic before so i dont really care, the movie wasnt terrible but definitely room for improvement. Got to wonder though, why they used the Mar Vell name though and didnt just create a new character, she wasnt a super hero or an alien, so why not just create an original character leave the option open to use Mar Vell later on. Wouldnt improve or worsen the movie, just seems odd

@TheFamousJMC - How do you "Disney" something that is already Disney?

@dracula - Glad you didn't hate Captain Marvel, unfortunately i did think it was terrible, seriously couldn't wait for it to finish. Hoping the sequel is ten times better because as of now it is my least favourite MCU film. By the way I never saw anyone complaining about there not being enough women on this show, but whoever did are just silly as hell. Great episode

@JohnCastillo - Really id put Captain Marvel near the bottom of the list for ranking the marvel movies, probably better than Iron Man 2 and Thor The Dark World and Ant Man and the Wasp, but its for sure a low point in the mcu, hopefully they get a better director and take more time on the script for the next film. They should have put Black Widow in that slot and saved Captain Marvel as the first film of phase 4, that time wouldn't instantly make the film great, but it could have helped fix the problems.

From what ive heard a lot of people are complaining on twitter about the lack of female characters

@BertieGregory - Good question. I think what Scott (OldKan) means by that (he wrote the headline) is that the episode was more cute and cuddly, with the focus on Baby Yoda and the romance subplot, than previous episodes. But feel free to disagree.

@dracula - There's one main reason Thor 2 and the other poor Marvel films are better than Captain Marvel... the main characters are interesting and I already have a connection to them.. Danvers was so bland and boring I never got to like her.. Ant=Man & The Wasp is fun at least, I chuckled a few times. I was bored to tears watching Captain Marvel, and a little nit pick.. that NIck Fury eye reveal pissed me off lol

@JohnCastillo - Agree. Plus the dumb retcons, like her brin the inspiration for the Avengers, despite the fact that Captain America came first, and his first movie was literally called The First Avenger. Then there is them setting it in the 90's for no reason, and having the Skrulls be known to Shield despite them saying Thor was the first encounter with outside life.

This episode confirmed I'm not ready for anything to happen to baby Yoda. When that sniper locked on him my heart stopped.

Also, Mando's voice broke a little when he was talking to the widow about having a life there. I liked that.

Another week, another great episode. Bryce Dallas Howard directed this one? I'm impressed. It had some really good shots. Also, this was the first episode that made me get tears in my eyes. When the widow was talking to Mando about settling down, I could feel the pain in his voice. Mandolorian so far is better than all the Disney Star Wars movies I gotta say.

They should give baby Yoda a name

I like how they made the AT-ST actually scary and heavy-feeling, even if the red "eyes" were probably a little too much. but hey, it's Star Wars, go all out with that stuff.

alas, poor Mando, whatever happy and quiet life he may want is a pipe dream as long he protects the kid.

also, I love me some training montages, someone later put "I'll make a man out of you" over that.
