VIDEO GAMES: Thrilling SHADOW OF THE TOMB RAIDER Cinematic Reveal Trailer Released Online
We got a glimpse of Lara Croft's third adventure in the form of a teaser trailer last month. Now, we have the first official trailer, which has Lara racing to prevent a Mayan apocalypse. Check it out!
The Tomb Raider video games series has found great success with its rebooted take on Lara Croft that started back in 2013 with Tomb Raider. What was always planned to be a trilogy, the sequel, Rise of the Tomb Raider, was released in 2015. The final chapter of the trilogy has been revealed, and it promises to be Lara's greatest challenge yet.
This time around, developing duties for Shadow of the Tomb Raider has gone to Eidos-Montreal who collaborated with Crystal Dynamics (worked on the previous two games). We see Lara Croft venture to South America in a race against time to stop the Mayan apocalypse from coming to fruition. If this cinematic trailer is anything to go by, it looks like the new team has certainly captured the spirit of the previous games. Take a look:

I certainly wouldn't mind getting my hands on that cool climbing axe bottle opener. The Ultimate Edition is no doubt for the most hardcore of Tomb Raider fans.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be released for Xbox One, PS4, and PC on September 14th.
