FAST X: Vin Diesel & Jason Momoa Break Down Dante's Devastating Arrival In Exclusive New Blu-ray Clip

Ahead of tomorrow's Digital HD arrival of Fast X, we've been provided an exclusive clip to share, featuring Vin Diesel and Jason Momoa breaking down the devastating arrival of Dante Reyes!

Tomorrow, the Fast Family comes home as their latest adventure, Fast X, arrives on Digital HD and to commemorate the occasion, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment have provided us with an exclusive clip from the blockbuster release, spotlighting the arrival of the long-running action franchise's most devastating villain yet: Dante Reyes, who is played to perfection by Aquaman and Justice League star Jason Momoa.

In this exclusive "Avenging Son" clip, producers Vin Diesel, Neal Moritz, and Jeffrey Kirschenbaum break down Dante's introduction and how his presence throws Dominic Toretto and company for the wildest ride of their lives.

After setting the first stage of his plan in motion in Fast X, the villain will return in the upcoming Fast X: Part 2, as well as the recently announced Luke Hobbs spinoff film, where he'll square off against Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

To date, Fast X has grossed over $720.2 million globally (and counting), on an estimated $340 million production budget, so there's still plenty of life in this twenty-plus year old series, but we'd imagine the studio will want to reduce costs on the next installment, especially after the budget on Fast X ballooned to such a gargantuan rate due to a myriad of factors.

Fast X races onto Digital on August 1st and on 4K and Blu-ray™ on August 8th!

Check out the exclusive new "Avenging Son" clip below:

The massive ensemble cast featured Vin Diesel (Dominic Toretto), Michelle Rodriguez (Letty Ortiz), Tyrese Gibson (Roman Pearce), Ludacris (Tej Parker), Jordana Brewster (Mia Toretto), Nathalie Emmanuel (Ramsey), Sung Kang (Han Seoul-Oh), Charlize Theron (Cipher), Jason Statham (Deckard Shaw), John Cena (Jakob Toretto), Jason Momoa (Dante Reyes), Brie Larson (Tess), Alan Ritchson (Aimes), Daniela Melchior, Scott Eastwood (Little Nobody), Michael Rooker (Buddy), Rita Moreno (Abuelita Toretto), Helen Mirren (Magdalene Shaw), Luis Da Silva Jr. (Diogo), Leo Abelo Perry (Brian Marcos), Gal Gadot (Gisele Yashar), and Dwayne Johnson (Luke Hobbs).

This franchise features four DC actors....and five MCU actors. Leave it to Vin Diesel to bring us all together!

Fast X was terrible need to stop making these movies.

@AllsGood - As someone who hate watches these Fast X was definitely and improvement over 8 and 9. It was dumb but at least dumb fun

Dante is exactly what this franchise needed imo, it needs a villain as over the top as the rest of the movies. He does a good job of being the FF Joker and lets it go fully off the rails which is its strong suit. These movies are at their worst when they take themselves too seriously

@Ha1frican -
I never found him interesting as a villain.

He's Suicide Squad 2016's version of the Joker, just more gay, that's all it is.

I enjoy an over-the-top villain but nothing he did was particularly over-the-top in this franchise, all of its felt like a lower scale version of what we'd seen before.

@Ha1frican - I liked how they played with the family trope to actually get under dom's skin. And that corpse salon scene was hilarious.

frick] the mountain dew chugging, fried chicken eating, cousin kissing franchise.
Oppenheimer is coming back for more 70mm screenings. Map out your journey and go see it in this format. It's a religious experience, if you're a true moviegoer

@bobevanz - I knew Dead Reckoning was DOA. Terrible release date, Top Gun Maverick was a fluke, a happy fluke nonetheless. Top Gun 2 was an old sequel, and at least there was the story between Maverick and Goose's kid, versus the 7th reiteration of the same story lol so obvious

Oppenheimer was great. Nolan at his finest.

@DocSpock - see it in 70mm! The sound mix was perfect, the practical effects of the atoms swirling and clashing in 1:43 is jaw dropping, also the close up scenes for the last act are really intimate yet also intense

@bobevanz - All the other Jet pilots is what made it Top Gun 2 a hit. All Mission Impossible made lower box office numbers except for Fall Out which did 220 million domestic and 791 million.

@bobevanz -
Dead Reckoning I think suffered from labeling itself as a 'Part 1' along with being a bit bloated - however the main reason it did not perform well is that due to Oppenheimer and Barbie it got yeeted from Imax and cinemas fairly quickly.

Removing the 'Part 1' from the title, trimming some of the fat and having a better release date it probably would have made around $700m whereas it'll likely finish around $475m+

@DocSpock - How about that Barbie movie? Breaking box office records everywhere. Barbie now owns the 2023.

Box Office: ‘Barbie’ Dances to $775M Globally, Days Away from Joining Billion-Dollar Club.

Barbie couldn’t be dancing any faster.

The Greta Gerwig-directed movie, from Warner Bros., earned a spectacular $131.5 million at the global box office in its second weekend, including an estimated $93 million domestically and $122.2 million from 70 markets overseas.

Thanks for the condescension. I completely understood it. I still think it was overly convoluted mush. I love most of Nolan's movies, but not this one.

@The1st
Yeah, it was a dumb decision honestly as Dead Reckoning Part 1 tells more of a complete story-line than Fast X and Across the Spider-verse do. Nothing is achieved in Across the Spider-verse and Fast X while Ethan ends Dead Reckoning Part 1 with the thing he set out to get and a clear goal and plot ready for a sequel.

@bobevanz -
I think you completely misunderstood.

- Across the Spider-verse was not marketed as a part 1
- Fast X was not marketed as a part 1
- Dead Reckoning PART 1 was marketed as a part 1.

By announcing you are giving them an incomplete story people are less likely to see it, as opposed to if you pretend its a full story when you end it on a cliffhanger like Fast X and Across the Spider-verse. Dead Reckoning also honestly tells a more complete story than Fast X or Across the Spider-verse, with Dead Reckoning you actually have a protagonist who completes his goal and defeats the villain somewhat with a clear set-up for the next film but a satisfying film as a whole.

- Fast X ends sorta midway through what should be the story and very abruptly.
- Across the Spider-verse sets up around three villains and then just kinda stops when it finally focuses on them

I found this to be enjoyable honestly , mainly because of Jason Momoa’s Dante (better then the last 2 installments at the least).

I’m actually kinda looking forward to the last one because of him aswell as Hobbs coming back it seems…
