Would Jude Law like to return to the role of Dr. Watson if there is another sequel?
"It's not up to me, obviously, but I don't see why not. I love working with Robert and Guy and the whole team. I'm a big fan of the books, and there's obviously huge amounts of material to dip into and use and be inspired by, so we'll see.
"If everyone else is as enthusiastic and happy for us to carry on doing it, then we'll probably carry on doing it."
His thoughts on the new movie:
"Literally, it felt like there was no gap. We went into it with a little more confidence and swagger. We were very proud of the last one, but when you pick up a canon like that, it's hard to know how the world will respond."
"And [audiences] were really enthusiastic, and appreciative."
A lot of high expectations for the sequel since the first one was such a hit at the box office. All three main players are back, Ritchie, Downey Jr., and Law. It's always good to see every key piece returning. As we've seen over the past six months, Thor and Iron Man have both lost their directors.
Jude Law has been surprising good as the straight man, Dr. Watson, and has allowed the more off-the-wall Sherlock Holmes, played by Robert Downey Jr. to shine. Their real is quite a art to being the straight man, taking a backseat to the lead actor, and making sure he is the brightest light in the room.
Hopefully this second film in the franchise is just as good, if not better then the first so that we can see more of this wonderful dou. Always a joy to see two actors volleying lines back and forth the way they do.
