Yesterday smgo.tv released two videos on youtube explaining that despite WB giving them the thumbs down to doing new seasons for Young Justice and Green Lantern: The Animated Series, they still plan on going ahead and starting a funding system for Young Justice. In the video they say that if they can successfully raise funds for a new season of YJ through fan donations, they're sure [read not 100% positive] that WB will give the OK to allow a new season being made. They also theorize that with a YJ series funded, they could get GL:TAS funded as well. The decision to fund YJ before GL:TAS came from the fact that YJ's seasonal budget is about half of GL:TAS, being 10 million dollars. Obviously this is no small feat to overcome, seeing as how the former is traditional 2D animation and the latter is 3D CGI. Thier donation system is very similar to KickStarter's, as where you pledge to pay a certain amount of money and if/when the project reaches it's needed amount, and WB gives the thumbs up for it, only then will people be charged. Also much like Kickstarter, smgo.tv are giving rewards for each amount of money you can give, and the more you spend on the project, the better the reward. And to all GL:TAS fans whom might not care much for Young Justice, please realize that there isn't even a possibility for that to return unless YJ gets funded, so as said earlier, Any and everyone, please support this project, even if it's just $5, it's always helpful.
