First INCREDIBLES 2 Synopsis Teases Fresh Leadership And A Dangerous New Villain

Disney has released a new synopsis for Incredibles 2 which sheds some light on what to expect from the sequel and it sounds like as well as fresh leadership for the team, we're getting a new villain too!

Pixar knocked it out of the park last year with Coco and now all eyes are on the long overdue Incredibles 2 to deliver. Not a huge amount has been revealed about the sequel just yet but if it's even half as good as the first instalment, you just know we'll be in for a treat! So, what does this new synopsis for the movie tell us about what's to come? Well, it seems it's time for new leadership!

That's not all, though, as it sounds like a dangerous villain will emerge putting the family in danger!

Everyone's favorite family of superheroes is back in "Incredibles 2" – but this time Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell) and Dash (voice of Huck Milner) to navigate the day-to-day heroics of "normal" life/ It's a tough transition for every one, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack's emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again – which is easier said than done, even when they're all Incredible.

Seeing Holly Hunter's Elastigirl take centre stage should be interesting after the Mr. Incredible-centric first instalment and it's likely that the villain mentioned above will be voiced by franchise newcomers  Bob Odenkirk or Catherine Keener. With any luck, more details on the cast will be revealed soon.

@BlindWedjat - They will actually fight him in the opening scene, from what I've read so far. I don't know if he will be the villain for the entire movie.

Hopefully it's a lot more interesting than it sounds. Seems very Finding Doryish where it takes place right after the first and turns the secondary character into the main protagonist.

I still think they missed the opportunity of not having this movie take place 14 years after the first. Maybe they're saving that for a third like Toy Story.
