Hot on the heels of yesterday's new poster comes the official theatrical trailer for Disney/Pixar's Incredibles 2 and it's pretty darn incredible as we are reunited with the Parr family who, despite the new movie picking up shortly after the first one, seem to have changed quite a bit since their last adventure well over a decade ago.

While Elastigirl (Holly Hunter) is expected to take centerstage this time around, the new trailer opts to share the spotlight as we see her navigate her exciting new job while Mr. Incredible (Craig T. Nelson) navigates the inner workings of being a stay-at-home father to three superpowered youths. There's also plenty of quick action beats, capped off by another hysterical Frozone (Samuel L. Jackson) moment.

Watch the official trailer below:

In “Incredibles 2,” Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is called on to lead a campaign to bring Supers back, while Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) navigates the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell), Dash (voice of Huck Milner) and baby Jack-Jack—whose super powers are about to be discovered. Their mission is derailed, however, when a new villain emerges with a brilliant and dangerous plot that threatens everything. But the Parrs don’t shy away from a challenge, especially with Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) by their side. That’s what makes this family so Incredible.

Incredibles 2 features:
Director: Brad Bird
Holly Hunter as Helen Parr/Elastigirl
Craig T. Nelson as Bob Parr/Mr. Incredible
Sarah Vowell as Violet Parr
Huck Milner as Dashiell "Dash" Robert Parr
Samuel L. Jackson as Lucius Best/Frozone
Brad Bird as Edna Mode
John Ratzenberger as The Underminer
Bob Odenkirk in an undisclosed role
Catherine Keener in an undisclosed role

Incredibles 2 hits theaters June 15

In other news, Lost in Space TV show is starting pretty good, for those who are wondering. Definitely family-oriented (by essence), but it looks good and the kids are not a slap-fest, at least not yet.

@litobirdy - There was a picture of the guy with the mask on from T.v screen. I just skimmed the article but it said that he may be the true villain.

HEAVY SPOILERS (IF ACCURATE)

The Incredibles defeat the Underminer, but are blamed for the collateral damage and forced to relocate. Elastigirl is later recruited by telecommunications mogul Winston Deavor, who is fascinated by Supers and wants to have them legalized once again, to lead a team of young superheroes sponsored by his company, in order to turn public opinion to their favor.

Winston’s sister, inventor Evelyn Deavor, develops new suits for the team. One of the new heroes, Voyd, is Elastigirl’s biggest fan. Winston considers Mr. Incredible and Frozone too prone to destruction to join in, so Mr. Incredible has to stay home looking after Violet, Dash and Jack-Jack, and finds out Jack-Jack has powers (Remember they did not see his powers clearly from the distance in Incredibles)

Elastigirl and her team face a new villain, the Screenslaver, who brainwashes people through hijacked electronic signals. Elastigirl finds out that Evelyn is the Screenslaver. Evelyn mind-controls Elastigirl and her team, and later mind-controls Mr. Incredible and Frozone when they find out the truth and attempt to rescue Elastigirl and her team.

Violet and Dash infiltrate a fundraiser in Winston’s yacht gathering businessmen, politicians and military officials, where Evelyn plans to use the brainwashed Supers to hold them hostage. They manage to remove the hypnosis goggles from Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl and Frozone, and then they must face the brainwashed Supers in order to stop Evelyn.

Winston and Jack-Jack manage to destroy the source of Evelyn’s signal, freeing the Supers. Evelyn attempts to escape in a plane, but Voyd and the Incredibles stop her and she’s arrested. The world embraces Supers once again, and the Incredibles return to action alongside the new generation, now led by Voyd.
